Lots of gluten free items clearly marked. All the (delicious) chowders are by default gluten free. Allegedly the owner of Dukes worked to make sure all the gluten free items were up to the same quality as "normal" items - you can tell!

So good and some great gluten-free options. Our waiter told us Duke’s daughter has celiac, so they are well versed and sensitive to it.

Food was FANTASTIC! They’re attention to celiac and cross contamination is great! I was assured my meal was prepared on a separate cutting board, clean grill and fresh gloves etc. they serve sourdough at your table but if you tell them you’re celiac you get your own chips and salsa! Loved this place!

Wow - so happy! I thought that Duke’s was lost to me after my celiac diagnosis in 2015. I even had my 2008 wedding at Duke’s on Alki. Well, June 2023, I gave it a try again and to my delight, so much is marked off gluten free! Parker was our server at the Tukwila location and she was so knowledgeable! I did the chowder sampler, had the rockfish tacos (the GF version) and my kid had a gluten free burger off the kids menu. Topped it off with raspberry lemonade sorbet. Amazing dinner!

Worst 110.00 meal in my life. Potatoes over cooked , broccoli was terrible and the fish was very small for 41.00. Very expensive

I’ve always had a good experience at Dukes. All of their locations have been wonderful. A decent selection of gluten free items but I do wish there were more. Also a bit on the pricy side.

Amazing food! We used DoorDash to our hotel and I got the Duke’s burger and the Black & Bleu salad - absolutely the best GF dinner I’ve had here!!

Really friendly and knowledgeable service. Apparently Duke’s (Duke - the founder) daughter was diagnosed with celiac, so they’re trained to be very aware and informed about cross contamination etc. They informed me that every item marked GF on the menu was celiac safe. I enjoyed a margarita on the rocks, prawns and avocado salad, as well as a lettuce wrapped burger (the one with avocado and bacon). I would definitely recommend Duke’s.

I ordered the chopped seafood salad without feta. It came with feta but I didn’t notice till it was too late. I told the girl and she said sorry but that was all. I should have double checked before eating. The food was expensive but really good!

I had a burger on a gluten free bun (one of the best GF buns I’d had in my life) and it was amazing. I couldn’t order fries as a side because of cross-contamination, but I was able to have red potatoes as a side that were very good. The server was very knowledgeable, was a great experience!

The service was amazing. At the beginning of our dining they brought out bread for everyone to eat. The waitress knew that I could not have it. She brought out chips And salsa for me. I had the chowder and seafood salad. It was amazing. There was surprisingly a lot of options on the menu. The waitress even come to the table and told me how they are going to prepare my food. I do not think that five stars is enough!

Good gluten free options, but was expecting tastier food. Was your typical chain fare.
Extensive celiac friendly selections, including GF pasta and the best chowder I’ve ever tasted. Amazing.

Staff is very knowledgeable and accommodating of gluten free customers. All chowders are gluten free and burgers can be requested with GF bun. Chain owner’s daughter is Celiac and they even have a newsletter where they talk about the menu items they are trying to convert to GF.

Excellent! Many choices including gluten free clam chowder. They also brought chips and salsa rather than bread :)
Am visiting Seattle for the first time. Had a wonderful dining experience. The server was very knowledgeable! We have severe gluten allergies and were impressed with the attention to detail and the care with which our food was prepared. One of the members of our party also has a casein allergy in addition to a gluten allergy and this was also accommodated. Would definitely eat at this restaurant again.

They were very attentive to my celiac disease and I did not get sick! 😍

I almost cried with happiness when I discovered Duke's had expanded their gluten free menu to include all their chowders. I used to go to Duke's all the time before I had to go gluten free, and loved their traditional chowder. I had only gone once since my diet changed. While the Manhattan chowder is good, it just isn't traditional chowder, ya know? So tonight when I looked in 5the fmgf app to see what was close to my hotel, surprise! not only is there a location at South center, but (click to website and download menu....) all their chowders are now gf!!! Their staff are always pleasant and accommodating. so I got to have my favorite chowder (tastes as good as I remember after 5 years), my favorite salad (their tarragon vinaigrette is marvelous) with a skewer of wild Mexican prawns for under $25. !!! sure it's not the cheapest restaurant, but I've paid more for less of worse quality. I will keep coming back here because they're quality had never disappointed me! oh. and to top it off, they brought me fresh corn chips and salsa to much on when normally Brad would've shown up at the table. I didn't even have to turn the basket of bread away.

Great restaurant for gluten free eating. The Cajun Chicken and Corn Chowder has just the right heat and is delicious.

Great food, great service. Especially if you have celiac disease as I do...the whole staff will work with you, talk with the chef and make absolutely sure you get great tasting food that you don't have to worry about!

We went here for lunch and one of us needed gluten free one didn't. We started with a bowl of clam chowder that we both enjoyed. It wasn't the best chowder we've ever had, but it definitely seemed to be made from quality ingredients. Keep in mind if it matters to you they have many soups that are gluten free--really nice. My husband ordered the fish and chips which he said was fine, but he wouldn't order again. Partly because they come with large steak fries and he prefers thinner fries. I ordered the wild caught salmon with blueberries and goat cheese. It came with a side of zucchini and organic red potatoes. I was hoping for more of some type of sauce, but it was just fresh blueberries with warmed slabs of goat cheese on top. The salmon was cooked perfectly. Now for the dessert they had an amazing gluten free carrot cake with a raspberry sauce. My husband doesn't even like carrot cake, but this was so good! Nice to know they told us they don't use corn syrup in it or high fructose corn syrup. Definite repeat on the cake.
The atmosphere is very cozy and they must have spent some money on noise reduction materials because even though they were busy it wan't overly loud. Also the side by side booths had a very adequate space between them. The restaurant and restrooms were kept very clean which was nice.
The servers couldn't have been more pleasant or helpful especially with the dietary restrictions. We never had to look for more water as they were always there.
We went here for lunch, but at $69.31 (not including the tip) for two that's a pretty expensive lunch. Would still recommend it and probably go back, but just order a bit differently.

Fabulously delicious gf find!
Wonderful gf menu! Delicious food! They worked with me to keep me dairy free, as well. It was pricy, but worth it! And to think, we only came here because the first choice was closed an extra day for the holiday weekend.

Awesome and so gluten free knowledgable. Highly recommend, I was in gluten free heaven, which I describe as feeling like everyone else and not settling.
Very knowledgable and accommodating ! I had the burger wrap and they made me asparagus as a side. Didn't get all the frustration from the waiter that I get at other restaurants because I have so many other allergies. Highly recommend ! We will be coming back!

Menu has many items marked GF. They also can make burgers GF. We ordered then the manager came out and talked with us. He has celiac as well! My daughter had the kids meal of salmon and roasted potatoes. Fries are made in a mixed frier so don’t eat those- waiter knew this and told us.

We stopped in for dinner last week and I was overwhelmed by how many GF options there were! I’d heard good things about their chowder, so opted for the Quad Dinghy Chowder Sampler with small portions of the classic, lobster mobster Pernod, NxNW, and raging’ Cajun corn chowders. They were all decent but the classic was my favorite. Our server also brought me out a plate with safe tortilla chips and Verde salsa in lieu of the bread basket when I told her about my Celiac, which was really nice since the sourdough my partner got looked and smelled delicious. Nice touch to have an option for us. We had great service and I didn’t have any reaction afterward, so I’m looking forward to checking out more of their GF menu.
