I got an item that did not contain gluten, let my waitress know I had Celiac Disease, and still had a horrible reaction from the food when I got home.

The entire kitchen is covered in bread crumbs. Icky and not safe

I was so excited to eat here after all the positive comments from others. Our waiter was fantastic and even put mine and my sons order on a separate ticket clearly labeled with allergy. I know Celiac is not an allergy. However when our order came out with regular bread. The waitress that brought it out whisked it back to kitchen. It was back out wit Audi’s bread, but clearly the same omelette. I let our waiter know that it was not a safe practice for Celiacs. He apologized but no visit from the manager and still paying full price left a sour taste in my mouth. I hope we don’t get sick. 😢

Updated 7/31/17. They are still here a year later and still serve amazing GF options that don't even make you Miss it. :-) They don't have specific gluten free items mentioned on the menu. But they have LOTS of gluten free options. Their breakfast quinoa power bowl was amazing. They have some awesome fresh pressed juices too. They just opened a June 2016, according to their sign. OMG good!!
The atmosphere is great! I got herbal tea and the traditional breakfast. I substituted the bread for fruit! Yummy food and no reaction!
Great breakfast and brunch food. The kitchen completely changes gloves and pans for all food allergies (including eggs). Waiter was nice, and staff let me choose substitutions for accompaniments on menu (like getting vegetables instead of toast).

There’s an allergen menu that you have to scan on your phone. They have a dedicated GF space in the back (including a toaster). There’s a reasonable amount of stuff to order as long as you get the GF toast. I didn’t experience in cross contamination and the staff seems knowledgeable.

Several decent selections for breakfast/lunch and good safety measures. GF bread/toast available for breakfast or sandwiches, and they said can do gf French toast with it (which we haven’t tried). I asked about butter and they said gf toast always comes no-butter, which made me happy for kitchen safety. Eggs and bacon were good, and lots of gf omelet options. Grain bowls also gf using quinoa.

To start off, I have been to First Watch many times with and without my family (who eat gluten-free), and every single time the staff has been accommodating and very friendly.
They have plenty of gluten-free breakfast options with foods that are inherently gluten-free (eggs, bacon, fruit, etc.). You can substitute any bread on the menu for gluten-free bread, including the french toast! They always ask if you have a gluten allergy to make sure the kitchen accommodates you.

I am bummed. Food was delicious but my stomach is paying bad. I told the server I was extremely allergic to gluten and she seemed understanding. I shouldn't have came here. ☹ it's things like this that make me never feel safe eating out. I know there is a warning with it being a chain but at other locations I haven't had a problem.
