Based on reviews here I watched the food prep like a hawk. Everything was done right. The cashier who took our order and confirmed the allergy procedure was the one who assembled our burger bowls.
They are not very careful with cross contamination at this location. I had to watch them like a hawk and still saw them grab hamburger buns and then grab the lettuce for our lettuce wraps. I got sick from here.
No
Called to ask about GF prep and the manager told me his mother has celiac and listed off all the precautions, very sympathetic and knowledgeable! That said, it’s a lot of $ for just a burger patty (they no longer carried gf buns here when I went.)
Yes
So far in three visits my needs have been met. They have even put my fries and burger in separate bags to further prevent cross contamination. One of the workers even said his mother has celiac and frequents there. I feel confident at this point but I’m also always on guard and watching. They will also gladly remake the order if you feel unsure.
Yes
Burgers are made on separate grill from buns. Fries are gluten free. However, when I was asking if the fries are gluten free and making sure nothing else was fried in the frier, one of the workers felt the need to explain to me that gluten is just flour. Switched gloves but then rested gloved hands in bread crumbs on counter before touching gf burger. Will try another five guys but won't go back to this one.

Yes
Cross contamination... Yes, everything is GF except for the buns. Doesn't help when the buns are put on the same grill as the burgers.
Only went to order fries. Fryer is only for fries and they are so good. No reaction.

They only put fries in the fryer, so it's safe!
The food tasted good, did not have gluten free buns like other five guys locations I’ve been to but had the option of a bowl or a lettuce wrap for the burger. As always the fries are delicious.

I have eaten here in the past with no issues. Today was terrible. I asked for a refund. I stated gluten allergy and asked staff to change gloves. They didn’t change gloves. When I reminded them they made a face and changed gloves but then touched bread before making my lettuce wrap. When I said something about it the girl made a face. So I asked for a refund.
— Not at all
Fries are gluten free (nothing but potatoes go into the fryer), and burgers are grilled on a separate cooktop and with separate, clearly marked utensils from buns. Burgers can be served lettuce-wrapped or in a bowl. Almost all shakes are GF (just not Oreo or Reese’s mix-ins), so you may be able to get away with asking the staff to wipe down the shake blender wand to avoid cross contact.
Staff is moderately aware of gluten and food allergies. They’re happy to answer questions about condiments and food prep methods.
