Thank you to those who reviewed this location. I’m from Connecticut and not all our locations treat gluten free as safe.
I was very happy they went above and beyond for me - every person knew I was the “allergy” and they kept reassuring me - they were extra cautious with my burger bowl and fries

I go here often and the staff are very well trained on Celiac and allergies. I love that I can safely eat the fries as they’re the only thing fried there. So good!

Ask for a THICK lettuce wrap or it is too thin and falls apart. So good for lunch

Yes
The person who took my order clearly communicated to their staff that my order was for an wheat allergy. This happen more than once to ensure I did not receive any CC. They all changed gloves and took precautions. Burgers are cooked separately from the buns. Fries are the only item in the fryer, so no CC there. I got the burger bowl and small fry, it was cooked perfectly and tasted great.

Always have a good experience here! Mention that you need a gluten free (for allergy) burger. They either wrap in lettuce or put in a bowl (your choice). They always change gloves! Five guys fries are my weakness!
Yes
Excellent food. Bun-less burgers and fries are safe (dedicated GF fryer). Reliable and delicious. Staff is careful to avoid cross-contamination.

I appreciate that they always ask if my lettuce wrapped order is an allergy. Fries are the only thing in the fryer, so no worries about cross contamination.

I’ve gone three times in two months and it’s been great every time. I tell them “allergy warning, I have celiac’s”. I order mine on lettuce (they do a really great job at wrapping the burger in lettuce), with everything on it.
I then inform them that my spouse would like a normal bacon burger on a bun. The staff has always reassured me and I hear them tell each other “allergy!” while cooking. They’ve always put my burger in a different bag marked “***ALLERGY***” and there was a red sticker on the tin foil of my burger.
If you’ve never been to a Five Guys, they have a very limited menu of just burgers (bacon, cheese, or plain) in three sizes, French fries (plain or Cajun), and milkshakes.
The only gluten items on the menu are the buns and malt. The chocolate shakes do not automatically come malted, so there’s never been a worry for me there.
