Good place to get a burger being gluten free. When you ask for a burger in a bowl. The staff is normally parity good to ask if it's for allergy or not. Plus it's the only fast food place around here that fries are gluten free, big plus.

I ordered a burger bowl with mayo and ketchup. Staff took precautions as much as they could. They scooped the mayo and ketchup into a container but took a bite into the mayo and quickly found crumbs. Instant cross contamination and symptoms surely started within 2 hrs. I won't be going back. 😰

The person who took my order clearly communicated to their staff that my order was for an wheat allergy. This happen more than once to ensure I did not receive any CC. They all changed gloves and took precautions. Burgers are cooked separately from the buns. Fries are the only item in the fryer, so no CC there. I got the burger bowl and small fry, it was cooked perfectly and tasted great.

Usually five guys is one of my go to spots for gluten free burgers. But this place is far too busy for me to come back. Amazingly I did not get sick and they did a good job trying to keep my burger gluten free. But with the sheer volume of orders they have at this location the risk of cross contamination is very very high. Their prep table was by far the messiest I have seen at a five guys and there were crumbs every where. Nothing against this location, but the risk is too high here.

My initial impression was good because the person who waited on me was attentive to my needs ... although she kept referring back to peanuts (not peanut cross-contamination on grill), but referenced the allergen list with me and clearly talked about gluten, then. She told the person preparing my fries and burger wrap about the need to change gloves, etc., and she washed down the prep area. So, I felt comfortable enough for my first Five Guys meal. The guy who prepared my food, however, screwed it up. Everything was fine until he started making someone else’s burger while waiting for mine to be done. He picked up that person’s bun to put on condiments. Without changing gloves, he picked up cheese, put a slice on my burger, then brought it to my wrap. When I said I can’t eat that because he didn’t change his gloves before touching the cheese, HE ARGUED WITH ME, insisting he had changed his gloves. I replied he didn’t; he argued with me AGAIN. He had changed his gloves earlier, but NOT after touching the bun before touching my cheese.I’d waited a while for the burger because they grill them fresh, and I was so hungry ... but I was not going to wait that long again and have to watch this belligerent kid like a hawk to be sure he got it right the second time. I asked for my money back. The only saving grace is that the lady who waited on me and the manager were apologetic and refunded my money without issue, and said they would have a talk with the person who prepared my food,I’m glad I was watching, so I didn’t eat the wrap and then get sick. I may try Five Guys again in the future, but probably not this location.I’m not marking this location as unsafe, but as not sure, because from what I’ve heard of Five Guys in general, they are a place we Celiacs can eat. I’d just say to WATCH them, so you know they’re keeping you safe during prep.PS - no GF buns at this location.

I've been to other Five Guys but this location needs to do some work training their staff to be more aware of allergies and ingredients. When I went there, I asked the girl at the counter if the fries were gluten free (I know they are but I still always ask) and she said No. I asked why and she said because they are cooked in peanut oil. 🤷🏻‍♀️I thought maybe she didn't hear me so I corrected and said, I was asking about gluten. She was rude and responded 'I know what you said, they're not gluten free'.So I obviously left without eating ... and still knowing that they most likely were safe to eat! It's important to train all staff properly to avoid instances like this.

Love Five Guys!! One of the very few places where I can indulge in French fries, which are made in a dedicated fryer. As they don’t offer any other fried food but the fries, there’s no chance of contaminated oil being used. Though they don’t offer GF buns, burgers can be ordered in a lettuce wrap. Cashier always asks if it’s a preference or an allergy when ordering without a bun, and kitchen staff takes precautions accordingly.

Five Guys has become a place I can count on. When I ordered the lettuce wrap I was asked if it was allergies or a preference. When I said allergy, he turned around and loudly announced to the kitchen that the lettuce was for an allergy. It’s expensive but it’s usually safe from gluten.

I've been to 5 Guys many times, in other locations. I've always stood by and watched my food get made and have had to ask them to redo things if I saw them forget to change their gloves. Today, I went to this 5 guys. I only ordered a Little Fry. Told them I had Celiac and to make sure they know. Well I've been in pain / committing / diarrhea for the last 4 hours. This is my Gluten reaction. The only thing that I can tie this to is the fries.

Not Celiac Friendly! Cooks on the line insisted they pulled fresh everything but we watched them and they never put a fresh patty on the grill after they changed their gloves! And they didn't pull fresh bacon instead they shook up the bacon holder that was there and pulled from it. When we tried to tell them that's not safe the entire cooking line caught an attitude. And this was after we had spent $75 in food there! Not going back ever!

The staff were told we had a need for gluten free. The cashier responded back that we meant allergy and that did the trick. The cooks were very careful with changing gloves and not handling anything that would contaminate. They cook their buns on a separate part of the grill and used clean utensils to prepare the meat. Fries are dedicated fryer, so no concerns there. Both daughters have celiac and definitely react when contaminated. Very pleased and will definitely return.

Little did I realize that I needed to bring my own bread or I’d have to get it in a bowl or a lettuce wrap. -Sonic does that for me, so nothing spectacular for me here. Fries were amazing!! However, I do not feel that a bacon burger -no cheese and fries with a regular drink was worth over $13.

While the person taking our order politely asked me to repeat myself when I said “gluten allergy (I know celiac isn’t an allergy, it’s just easier to say sometimes),” another person nodded knowingly and started changing his gloves. He took charge and made sure the other workers knew what to do. He bagged my daughter’s burger separately, the fries in their own bag, and burgers with buns on their own. I would give this a zero stars. But I can't. I did watch as the the chef use the same gloves to handle all the Buns the cheese and the burgers on the grill there is absolutely no way that this is not fully cross-contaminated food. Needless to say I didn't stop to eat here, I was hopeful as I walked in but once I saw that, I just turned around and left.
