We communicated with the staff per usual, as Five Guys is a place we visit all the time. We’ve been to the one in Coral Gables, Jupiter, Boulder, Longmont, Montreal, Miami, New York, Mt. Tremblant. It always tested safe. Well, not in Castle Rock. Portable gluten tester flagged heavy gluten. They simply didn’t do a good job. Didn’t eat it.

This place is celiac friendly and In late 2018 and early 2019 I was also diary free when I Order a hamburger with no bun Without cheese. They made sure it was gluten and dairy free. They were very cautious. I love five guys :)

My husband told the person at the register we had a gluten allergy on two of the burgers we ordered. They always put them in a separate bag. When my husband got home all the burgers were in one bag and mine had cheese even after my husband said no dairy. I called the manager Avery and he said “sorry, we are so busy “ He offered to remake it, but living 20 minutes away, we just threw it in the trash. So disappointed. The places I xan safely eat at are becoming less and less. Not sure why management doesn’t take an extra 10 minutes to train employees. Grrrrr.

Very careful with cross contamination. Since you can watch as they prepare the food, it is easier to make sure they get it right. No GF bun option but burgers can be made with lettuce wrap. Dedicated fryer.
Yes
Excellent food. Bun-less burgers and fries are safe (dedicated GF fryer). Reliable and delicious. Staff is careful to avoid cross-contamination.

I appreciate that they always ask if my lettuce wrapped order is an allergy. Fries are the only thing in the fryer, so no worries about cross contamination.

I’ve gone three times in two months and it’s been great every time. I tell them “allergy warning, I have celiac’s”. I order mine on lettuce (they do a really great job at wrapping the burger in lettuce), with everything on it.
I then inform them that my spouse would like a normal bacon burger on a bun. The staff has always reassured me and I hear them tell each other “allergy!” while cooking. They’ve always put my burger in a different bag marked “***ALLERGY***” and there was a red sticker on the tin foil of my burger.
If you’ve never been to a Five Guys, they have a very limited menu of just burgers (bacon, cheese, or plain) in three sizes, French fries (plain or Cajun), and milkshakes.
The only gluten items on the menu are the buns and malt. The chocolate shakes do not automatically come malted, so there’s never been a worry for me there.
