Nice tasty fast food, but food safety really depends on who's preparing the food. Ever since covid-19 happened, the diligence of the cooks has become more varied. I haven't gotten sick here yet, but it requires me having to speak up and making sure that people consistently change their gloves and put aluminum on the workspace.
They *tried* to be accommodating to celiac disease level of care but don't have all the best practices down to avoid cross contamination. The ladies handling the burgers and dogs did a great job, they changed gloves and put clean foil down on the countertop for our containers so the containers wouldn't be sticking to the bread crumbs when they were slid down to the bagging station. However, the man who wrapped up the regular burgers on buns also handles the fries and did not change gloves ever while handling fries, _including_ scooping up handfuls of fries with the same gloves that had been handling buns and dropping the fries in the fryer. :( I explained that it's a problem and as the day goes on they are adding more and more wheat to the fryer probably. They said they would look into it and maybe train differently so we shall see. They refunded us the money for the fries.
I came in and told them I had a severe gluten and dairy allergy and asked if they felt comfortable serving me and they said yes. I heard the person at the register communicate that there was an allergy order to the kitchen. Ate my burger (no bun) happily and with no reaction. Obviously this is a chain so be as careful as is necessary!
They do not understand allergy precautions. Had to ask multiple times for them to change gloves. Was told that they just assume no cross contamination will happen. Finally got them to change gloves but then when my food came, my husbands burger with the bun was put on top of my fries. Was sick from eating here. This location is not like others I have visited.
