This five guys in particular is great! They have separate grills for the buns and burgers and are able to do a lettuce wrap. Eaten here a bunch never been sick. Would recommend and it’s a great spot for families that aren’t all gluten free because they can eat easily as well!

Great place to grab a quick bite to eat without getting sick. Some newer cashiers may be unfamiliar with gluten issues but the chain has protocols to prevent cc. Just tell them you have a wheat allergy first; they’re more familiar with that term than “gluten free.” You can get a burger either with lettuce wrap or as a bowl (no bun), any toppings, and most importantly FRIES! They’re real potatoes and made in a dedicated fryer. The cajun seasoned fries are safe too. Portions are huge, and the food’s pretty good for a burger chain.

Got a cheeseburger (NO BUN) with a lettuce wrap & fries. Manager was knowledgeable and explained that each worker has their own section (grill for burgers, buns, etc). Fries are safe as they are the only thing being fried. Buns toasted on separate grill. Changed gloves and handled with care. Great job!

Cashier knew about GF, she spoke to kitchen staff, then watched the food during the entire process. Felt confident and didn't get sick.

Ate here on vacation without any reaction. Ask for lettuce wrapped hamburger. Fries are a-ok to eat since nothing else goes in fryer.
Yes
no gluten free bun. had no clue what I was asking.
No
Super nice and offered to wrap my bun in lettuce, which was packages nicely and was delicious! Even offered to change gloves without me having to ask so!
Bigger "Five Guys" restaurants actually have gluten free buns for your burger and a lot more to choose from in a gluten free menu. This one does not.
What a joke. Can't even handle putting a burger in a lettuce wrap. Probably because their lettuce shows up shredded. Someone's polluting the ratings here giving all Five Guys five stars.
Love Five Guys. If you bring in your own bun, they change gloves, and dedicate person to prevent cross-contamination! Fries are superb!
Fries are gluten free (nothing but potatoes go into the fryer), and burgers are grilled on a separate cooktop and with separate, clearly marked utensils from buns. Burgers can be served lettuce-wrapped or in a bowl. Almost all shakes are GF (just not Oreo or Reese’s mix-ins), so you may be able to get away with asking the staff to wipe down the shake blender wand to avoid cross contact.
Staff is moderately aware of gluten and food allergies. They’re happy to answer questions about condiments and food prep methods.

As long as you tell them you have an allergy they will change their gloves and you can eat the French fries too which is always hard to find when out

Every time my partner and I have been here, they communicate throughout the entire kitchen that they are making a burger with a gluten allergy. They use the same level of care whether they are busy or dead. Wonderful staff

I went in because I was recommended to get the burger without the bun and the fries. I have an intolerance to gluten but cross contamination is NOT an issue for me. I ordered and she asked if I wanted a lettuce wrap and I said yes. She then asked specifics on whether it was choice or allergy and I told her cross contamination was fine. They looked clean and the lady at the counter knew about cross contamination. Over all great experience. They was cleaning the tables as people left also. Which had been rare in fast food these days.

I recommend 5 guys! Order the burger in the bowl with no bun. I even got the fries! It’s the only fast food option around for me that I can find.
