*** Please write honest reviews so others have up to date information on choices*** Great place with great practices :) I always get bacon cheese burger in a bowl with fixins and regular fries. They immediately call allergy, wash hands, and change gloves.

Five guys offers bunless burgers and hot dogs. When my order was taken, they asked if the bunless request was due to lifestyle or an allergy and I explained I am allergic to wheat. They changed their gloves and the person who handled my husband's food, which did include a bun, did not handle mine. They bagged my food separately and were very conscientious when handling my food and I did not get sick afterwards.

Excellent service! As recommended I let the cashier know my order was lettuce wrapped for Celiac Disease. He called out it was a special order. The prep staff is visible and changed gloves anytime they touched anything that could possibly have touched gluten! Order slip also indicated that it was a special prep! Fries are in a dedicated fryer! Food was as also very tasty!

They *tried* to be accommodating to celiac disease level of care but don't have all the best practices down to avoid cross contamination. The ladies handling the burgers and dogs did a great job, they changed gloves and put clean foil down on the countertop for our containers so the containers wouldn't be sticking to the bread crumbs when they were slid down to the bagging station. However, the man who wrapped up the regular burgers on buns also handles the fries and did not change gloves ever while handling fries, _including_ scooping up handfuls of fries with the same gloves that had been handling buns and dropping the fries in the fryer. :( I explained that it's a problem and as the day goes on they are adding more and more wheat to the fryer probably. They said they would look into it and maybe train differently so we shall see. They refunded us the money for the fries.

At a festival nearby (Rock on the Range) and left to come here during a rain delay. The staff member offered to make me a lettuce wrap burger and a burger bowl for my partner. Both were delicious. While she was preparing our food, another staff member asked for help with making another order (burger on bun) and she said "I can't right now, I am making an allergy order" which is about the best thing I can ask for. We were able to enjoy a delicious meal without worry, and I did not get sick at all.

Despite people on the mainland telling me that Five Guys is reliable for GF options, I was told that NOTHING in the restaurant is gluten free. Repeatedly, on a couple of different visits, and even asking for manager confirmation. They we're emphatic that nothing was safe for me. However, I decided to risk trying the fries because it didn't seem they had any ingredients with gluten and were in their own fryer, and I did not have any reaction (I've had them three times since). Besides, the peanuts and certain sodas are gluten free too. Cross contamination can always be an issue since they have buns in the building, but I think that risk could be minimized if the staff are willing to take a few precautions.

Visited in May 2018. Went because a review said that they have gluten-free buns. They do not. However, they wrapped was good, and the fries were also good. The burgers are the type that are press down and cooked all the way through, similar to Culver's, so that is just a preference issue. Staff was friendly and the restaurant was clean.

One of two burger franchises I’ve ever eaten at that I trust to be celiac/allergy friendly and very accommodating. Have a dedicated fryer for their French fries and staff follow cross contamination procedures once they’re made aware they have a gluten sensitive order coming through. Quite professional and one of my go to places for a burger meal on the rare occasion I eat out and I’m in the area.

We just started eating gluten free to a new celiac diagnosis. The general manager, Gregory, was so accommodating. He was knowledgeable about celiac, and even double-checked that his workers change gloves for our order to ensure no cross-contamination. We had bun-less burgers (wrapped in lettuce), fries (cooked in a gluten-free dedicated fryer), and vanilla milkshakes.

I go here all the time. They ask if you have an allergy when you order a lettuce wrapped burger. They cook only fries in their fryer! Disclaimer: don’t go there if you have a peanut allergy though! If you watch, they grill the buns on a separate grill top. Sooooo good! Only problem I’ve had there was eating too many fries!

No GF buns— lettuce wrap. GF fryer for fries. When I asked for a lettuce wrap, the person taking my order immediately asked if it was an allergy and I said yes. He entered “change gloves” into the computer along with the order, and also verbally told the kitchen staff that a glove change order was coming. Then they delivered my burger in a separate bag from the others in my order who used buns. A good GF experience! The only hitch is there are peanuts everywhere on the tables and floors in that restaurant, as that is part of their gimmick. A bummer for GF people who are also allergic to peanuts!
