Risky - sometimes they change gloves. Often they don’t. Sit where you can watch them make your food. I’m typing this while my companion enjoys my obviously contaminated burger lettuce wrap. It’s peanuts for dinner for me tonight.

I would be cautious about going here. I’ve been glutened 3 times now.

*** Please write honest reviews so others have up to date information on choices*** Great place with great practices :) I always get bacon cheese burger in a bowl with fixins and regular fries. They immediately call allergy, wash hands, and change gloves.
Yes
Five guys offers bunless burgers and hot dogs. When my order was taken, they asked if the bunless request was due to lifestyle or an allergy and I explained I am allergic to wheat. They changed their gloves and the person who handled my husband's food, which did include a bun, did not handle mine. They bagged my food separately and were very conscientious when handling my food and I did not get sick afterwards.
Excellent food. Bun-less burgers and fries are safe (dedicated GF fryer). Reliable and delicious. Staff is careful to avoid cross-contamination.

I appreciate that they always ask if my lettuce wrapped order is an allergy. Fries are the only thing in the fryer, so no worries about cross contamination.

I’ve gone three times in two months and it’s been great every time. I tell them “allergy warning, I have celiac’s”. I order mine on lettuce (they do a really great job at wrapping the burger in lettuce), with everything on it.
I then inform them that my spouse would like a normal bacon burger on a bun. The staff has always reassured me and I hear them tell each other “allergy!” while cooking. They’ve always put my burger in a different bag marked “***ALLERGY***” and there was a red sticker on the tin foil of my burger.
If you’ve never been to a Five Guys, they have a very limited menu of just burgers (bacon, cheese, or plain) in three sizes, French fries (plain or Cajun), and milkshakes.
The only gluten items on the menu are the buns and malt. The chocolate shakes do not automatically come malted, so there’s never been a worry for me there.
