*** Please write honest reviews so others have up to date information on choices*** Great place with great practices :) I always get bacon cheese burger in a bowl with fixins and regular fries. They immediately call allergy, wash hands, and change gloves.

Five guys offers bunless burgers and hot dogs. When my order was taken, they asked if the bunless request was due to lifestyle or an allergy and I explained I am allergic to wheat. They changed their gloves and the person who handled my husband's food, which did include a bun, did not handle mine. They bagged my food separately and were very conscientious when handling my food and I did not get sick afterwards.

Separate fryer for gluten free orders. They don’t have gluten free buns but the burgers and fries are amazing.

They asked if the kids meals was allergy or preference. When I told them allergies they changed gloves had one guy in charge of the order and made sure it was done right. Thankful for this place and will definitely be coming back!!

I watched the worker make a hamburger with a bun and then grab a handful of fries with the same gloves that touched the bun and throw a handful of fries into the fryer and therefore contaminating the fryer!!!

They have a green option meaning lettuce for the bun. As the only thing going in the dryer are fries, the fries are gf. They'll change out gloves when making the gf burgers

Second trip, July 2019. These guys handle the 'Allergy burger' very well. They have a dedicated frier and make a mean lettuce wrapped burger. I always order extra lettuce and they don't fall apart. Excellent. Lettuce wrapped burgers and dedicated frier for French fries. Thank-you.

5 guys is all about advocacy. They can do it totally right and I’ve never gotten sick there but you need to make sure the folks listen to you, separate your food in a bag if you are eating with other folks. Milkshakes are not GF.

Not the place it used to be! I watched them make my food and I had them remake it. After touching buns they put cheese on my burger. They gladly remade, but glad I was watching. I still think I may have been cross contained I feel awful.

We liked the food, but cross contamination was an issue as we all got sick and tried a few times before giving up.

The staff was very accommodating with my needs and immediately changed gloves, told the other workers, and took all the normal necessary precautions. The food was amazing and they got it done super quick!!

NO GF buns. “Lettuce wrap” was the burger and fixings between 2 big pieces of lettuce. Not even wrapped. Had to eat it with a fork and knife. When a girl wants a burger, she wants a burger not a burger salad.

They are very sensitive to gluten free requests and seem to take it seriously. My daughter can safely eat the hotdog, burger no bun and their fries. No buns ever on their grill

This place is celiac friendly is because they wash their hands and change your gloves. They put the hotdogs and the burgers no bun on in a bowl :)

I asked cashier about gluten free, he assured me at all would be fine, but I watched them put mayo on my lettuce wrap - and they used the same mayo container and spreading utensil that they use for buns. They re-made my order but I didn’t feel comfortable enough to eat it.

Stopped in on our road trip for dinner. I ordered a burger in a lettuce wrap and the guy immediately asked me if it was an allergy which was a nice change instead of me having to explain everything (especially after being on the road 12 hours). The burger was delicious and staff was clearly educated on gluten free protocol. The fries tend to make me sick due to being cooked in peanut oil but that is my problem and not the restaurants! (I ate a couple I couldn’t resist!)

Fantastic burgers. Had a bacon cheese burger with tomato, mushrooms, pickles and mayo in a bowl. As always, let them know I had Celiac and they change their gloves and make sure everything is safe. Bonus-gf fries are great!

I have eaten at 5 Guys restaurants in several states and never gotten sick from contamination. They have become one of my safe “go-to” places while traveling.

The staff was very helpful! They asked if I had an allergy when I asked for my burger in a bowl. The cashier said that the kitchen staff would change gloves. Then she came to tell me that the mayo would come in contact with gluten, so I shouldn’t have it. Overall very helpful and conscientious staff!

Ask for a burger in a bowl or wrapped in lettuce. Tell them it's an allergy and they will change gloves and clean work surface.

We went here and the cashier had no clue what I was talking about when I asked about the fries being gluten free. She told me the fries had gluten. I said I’ve read they don’t can you please ask somone she asked someone on the cook line, possibly a manager (?) and he had not clue either. After watching their exchange we cancelled our order and left. Absolutely nothing about this seemed remotely safe. I really wanted to eat here after reading the great reviews but I couldn’t take a chance. Everything is also made on the same line from what I could tell.

So I got here where there weren’t a lot of customers... dedicated fryer and I miss fries... and the girl was very accommodating offering to make my lettuce wrap burger in the back where none of the breads are kept. I’m currently waiting for my burger and fries and will update after the “wait and see” period has passed.

My daughter loves the burger bowls. Just make sure to mention you have celiac and can’t have gluten. They are very good about changing gloves and putting the bowl in it’s own bag.

Based on reviews here I watched the food prep like a hawk. Everything was done right. The cashier who took our order and confirmed the allergy procedure was the one who assembled our burger bowls.

Staff was knowledgeable about gluten allergies and Celiac's. Crew took special precaution when preparing and let other crew on the line know it was gluten free. Lettuce burger was really tasty and regular and Cajun fries are both GF as they're fried in a dedicated frier.

I ordered and they were VERY accommodating on my gluten needs. When I told my cashier gf, he immediately told the other cooks allergy and they took many precautions. I got a lettuce wrap and fries which were absolutely BOMB! They are soooo good and I don’t think I can go back to normal fast food burgers now. They gave me my wrap in my own bag without asking, but did accidentally put my fries in the glutened bag. They were very nice and gave me new fries free of charge (they were DELICIOUSSS).

No gluten free options unless you want a burger or a hot dog in a lettuce wrap or a cup. Music was so loud I had to have the guy at the counter repeat what he was telling me 4 times. He didn't even know if they had sweetened iced tea or not. I had heard such great reviews about this place I will never darken their door again.

Awful staff. Beyond rude and inconsiderate when asking about gluten free options even thought on the menu online they say specifically they have gluten free options.

Staff announced the gluten allergy and they all changed their gloves and ensured no cross contamination. I kept an eye on them the whole time to make sure of no cross. It was for my daughter. It’s nice to see the whole preparation instead of in a kitchen in the back somewhere.

DO NOT EAT HERE. They messed up all items on our order and have no idea how to handle cross contamination.

The staff was very knowledgeable about celiac disease. One person was assigned to complete my whole meal as to not cross contaminate. My burger was kept far from buns and they even wrapped it in lettuce for me. My burger and fries were placed in their own bag. Not only was the staff extremely careful but they were so kind.

This place is great about handling allergies. Had a lettuce-wrapped burger and fries. They always bag them separately from other food ordered.
