I ate at this place and dont feel the cashier passed on my allergy to the cooks. I quickly became ill and would not revisted this establishment. This establishment is not celiac friendly, but that doesnt discredit other locations.
Get the burger in a bowl. You won't be sorry
This is the only Five Guys I have ever gone to. And I have gone with my son (who is also celiac) and my daughter (who is not) several times. Not only are they always careful about separating and putting on new gloves regarding our orders, they are super friendly. I don't know what they use for their training or hiring practices, but more places should adopt them. Never had a cc issue, always top notch customer service, and delicious food to boot. Worth the price. Really love these guys.
Yes
My husband told the person at the register we had a gluten allergy on two of the burgers we ordered. They always put them in a separate bag. When my husband got home all the burgers were in one bag and mine had cheese even after my husband said no dairy. I called the manager Avery and he said “sorry, we are so busy “ He offered to remake it, but living 20 minutes away, we just threw it in the trash. So disappointed. The places I xan safely eat at are becoming less and less. Not sure why management doesn’t take an extra 10 minutes to train employees. Grrrrr.

We have ordered here before and thought it was somewhat safe. Tonight we had a horrible experience. My husband went in to order and pick up. He told the person at the register that the burger was to be gf and df because his wife has an allergy. They always put mine in a separate bag because of this. He came home with one bag, and mine had cheese on it. Also touching the other burgers that had buns. When I called and talked to Avery the manger, he said “sorry we are busy” Wow!!! I will never go back in there again. Very disappointed.
He did offer to remake, but we live 20 minutes away.

my lettuce wrap Was mostly lettuce with two small half dollar pieces of. Meat. One employee was playing drums with my silverware before putting it in my bag. I have had better meals at mc Donald's for the cost and was very disappointed

I will get a burger in a bowl and fries and have never had any issues. I believe I asked about gluten free/celiac disease items awhile ago and they can do the glove change/grill wipe. They do a good job at keeping items separated regardless too.
