Had a great experience here, food was amazing, workers were very nice and no issues at all ordering completely gluten free
Yes
The burger in a bowl is always good.
Yes
The staff here is allergy conscious. I order my burger in a bowl and bring a bun from home. Fries are dedicated, so I can have those, too. I’ve never had an issue here.
I had heard great things about this place so hubby and I decided to try it! As we got up to the counter to order the amount of bread crumbs all over the place began to make me nervous... I asked the guy at the counter about the gluten free options and he looked at me like I was crazy. I explained to him what gluten was and he said " oh ok yea you can order something with out a bun". So... Against by better judgment I places my order and asked if the person making my good could change their gloves and put down a sheet of paper on the counter to TRY and avoid Cross contamination... He looked at me and said "uh we are kinda busy right now...." My hubby and I both just kind of looked at him with a shocked look and hubby finally said "I don't think so let's go". I was VERY disappointed after all the good things I have heard. I may try another 5 guys again but I would ever take a chance with this one!

I was thrilled to find this place, and my first trip there was successful. I ordered a plain burger and fries. A gf burger can be ordered as a wrap with lettuce or in a bowl. My second trip was not so great. Again, I ordered the same burger and fries, but I was sick the next day. Maybe it would have been different if I had not gone during lunchtime, but when you tell them you have celiac and they acknowledge that they fully understand, you should expect a gf meal. I think the problem comes because they use their hands to dip into toppings and assemble burgers. I don't know if there was a glove exchange as I didn't pay as close attention this time. Everything is gf except buns and malt vinegar.
No
Not a great experience. Asked if they had gluten free options and the girl stared at me weird and then said yeah they do. I asked if they could change gloves and keep food separate while preparing and they said yes but didn’t communicate it to the back people. They didn’t change gloves and they prepared the lettuce burger with a regular bun burger side by side. Didn’t feel confident in no cross contamination.

The usual celiac five guys experience. Staff is well trained and can do a lettuce wrapped bun. Fries in dedicated fryer. Obviosuly not as safe as a sit down restaurant especially if busy but I had no issues.

I love Five Guys! No, they don't have a GF bun but the burger in a lettuce wrap is so delicious that I don't miss the bun at all. They have a separate grill for the buns so the burgers will not have CC and as long as you let them know you have celiac or are intolerant they will change gloves and take precautions. They also have a dedicated fryer so the fries are safe too! Yummm!

Separate fryer for fries. Very careful when preparing a burger and putting it in a bowl. No GF buns. Tell them you have an allergy. They will change gloves. Eaten here many times and have not been glutened
