Not recommended if you're celiac. Cross contamination possible over most of the kitchen. Order was taken and repeated to kitchen staff in Spanish, I mentioned "wheat allergy" and asked for a glove change as that tends to get taken more seriously.
I watched the woman grilling buns then grab raw patties and put them on the grill, after just having handled buns. The guy in charge of toppings switched gloves, put them in the bowl, and waited for the burger to come off the grill while dressing other burgers and wrapping them (again touching bread). He also went straight to the fryer to grab fries and was pushing them into the cup with his hands, then finished my burger I ordered in a bowl.
Not recommended for celiacs at all.
Additionally, the floor was completely covered in oil and multiple customers complained. I was here with my mother (post op from spinal surgery) and had to guard her walk out of the store so she wouldn't slip and fall.

Stopped for something different! My daughter is celiac's so she ordered burgers in a bowl, got two meat patties and toppings of her choice. Came in separate bag. Fries are only cooked in the dryer and were Amaizing. Could have had burger wrapped in lettuce instead of in a bowl! She was happy!!! Not sure if hotdogs were GF. Nice to know another option in this area of the state!!!
Excellent food. Bun-less burgers and fries are safe (dedicated GF fryer). Reliable and delicious. Staff is careful to avoid cross-contamination.

I appreciate that they always ask if my lettuce wrapped order is an allergy. Fries are the only thing in the fryer, so no worries about cross contamination.

I’ve gone three times in two months and it’s been great every time. I tell them “allergy warning, I have celiac’s”. I order mine on lettuce (they do a really great job at wrapping the burger in lettuce), with everything on it.
I then inform them that my spouse would like a normal bacon burger on a bun. The staff has always reassured me and I hear them tell each other “allergy!” while cooking. They’ve always put my burger in a different bag marked “***ALLERGY***” and there was a red sticker on the tin foil of my burger.
If you’ve never been to a Five Guys, they have a very limited menu of just burgers (bacon, cheese, or plain) in three sizes, French fries (plain or Cajun), and milkshakes.
The only gluten items on the menu are the buns and malt. The chocolate shakes do not automatically come malted, so there’s never been a worry for me there.
