our son has Celiac. Staff were knowledgeable and took great care to use allergy precautions to prepare his food. No GF buns available. Fryer is dedicated to fries only and GF. our son is very sensitive and did not get sick. The food was really good too. I must add that if you have peanut allergies stay away.

I've eaten here twice and ordered a bunless/wrap and haven't had any problems. The fries are the only thing fried in the fryer. Five Guys style is how I got my fries since the Cajun Fries are heavily seasoned. I'm an airborne Celiac and extremely sensitive, but do relatively well here, especially since I can sit outside and eat.

I've been to 5 Guys many times, in other locations. I've always stood by and watched my food get made and have had to ask them to redo things if I saw them forget to change their gloves. Today, I went to this 5 guys. I only ordered a Little Fry. Told them I had Celiac and to make sure they know. Well I've been in pain / committing / diarrhea for the last 4 hours. This is my Gluten reaction. The only thing that I can tie this to is the fries.

Not Celiac Friendly! Cooks on the line insisted they pulled fresh everything but we watched them and they never put a fresh patty on the grill after they changed their gloves! And they didn't pull fresh bacon instead they shook up the bacon holder that was there and pulled from it. When we tried to tell them that's not safe the entire cooking line caught an attitude. And this was after we had spent $75 in food there! Not going back ever!

The staff were told we had a need for gluten free. The cashier responded back that we meant allergy and that did the trick. The cooks were very careful with changing gloves and not handling anything that would contaminate. They cook their buns on a separate part of the grill and used clean utensils to prepare the meat. Fries are dedicated fryer, so no concerns there. Both daughters have celiac and definitely react when contaminated. Very pleased and will definitely return.

The fries are absolutely gf because that's all they use the fryer for. Order a lettuce wrap burger, tell them you have an allergy, and you'll be fine. ***However: Their pump-style ketchup might have gluten. Use their available Heinz ketchup packets to be on the safe side.

I stop by this particular Five Guys all the time. As soon as I tell them I have a gluten allergy they usually seem to be familiar. You can ask them to change gloves. NO gf buns, however, fries are gluten free! I usually get my burger wrapped in lettuce. Only complaint is that fries can become soggy fairly quickly. Still, overall this five guys is a great option to grab a bite to eat!

Burger was just OK. Bland. I went here excited about getting to have a real burger. Little did I realize that I needed to bring my own bread or I’d have to get it in a bowl or a lettuce wrap. -Sonic does that for me, so nothing spectacular for me here. Fries were amazing!! However, I do not feel that a bacon burger -no cheese and fries with a regular drink was worth over $13.

While the person taking our order politely asked me to repeat myself when I said “gluten allergy (I know celiac isn’t an allergy, it’s just easier to say sometimes),” another person nodded knowingly and started changing his gloves. He took charge and made sure the other workers knew what to do. He bagged my daughter’s burger separately, the fries in their own bag, and burgers with buns on their own. It was a great experience; the food was yummy and we felt safe. My daughter didn’t have any reaction.

I would give this a zero stars. But I can't. I did watch as the the chef use the same gloves to handle all the Buns the cheese and the burgers on the grill there is absolutely no way that this is not fully cross-contaminated food. Needless to say I didn't stop to eat here, I was hopeful as I walked in but once I saw that, I just turned around and left.

They have a separate grills for their regular buns and beef patties/hot dogs. They only fry fries in their fryers. When you order, tell them you need gluten free, and if an allergy, tell them and ask them to change gloves. They are very willing to do this. Sometimes they tell the cook the # of patties or dogs, so be sure he/she changes gloves before grabbing meat to cook.fries are just potatoes.

We just started eating gluten free to a new celiac diagnosis. The general manager, Gregory, was so accommodating. He was knowledgeable about celiac, and even double-checked that his workers change gloves for our order to ensure no cross-contamination. We had bun-less burgers (wrapped in lettuce), fries (cooked in a gluten-free dedicated fryer), and vanilla milkshakes. Update 7/5/18: Our daughter’s dietitian just told us the fries have malt vinegar on them, which has gluten. Very disappointed we won’t be able to have the fries anymore, but we would still go back for the bun-less burger and vanilla milkshake.
