It’s hit or miss with their training on procedures. My husband watches them and has had to tell them twice that something they’d done would contaminate the food. Both times they apologized, threw it out and started again. They’re not perfect but willing to learn.
Got sick last 2 times I ate there, will not return

I watched a cook arrange burger buns on the flattop, then -- WITHOUT CHANGING HIS GLOVES -- walk over to the friers, lift a basket, break a French fry to test its doneness, put the broken fry back into the basket, and put the basket back down into the oil.
I asked if that was normal. He said that they aren't required to change gloves to check the fries. These French fries are GLUTEN CONTAMINATED.
No
good burgers they wrap in lettuce and the fries are gluten free
Yes
Excellent food. Bun-less burgers and fries are safe (dedicated GF fryer). Reliable and delicious. Staff is careful to avoid cross-contamination.

I appreciate that they always ask if my lettuce wrapped order is an allergy. Fries are the only thing in the fryer, so no worries about cross contamination.

I’ve gone three times in two months and it’s been great every time. I tell them “allergy warning, I have celiac’s”. I order mine on lettuce (they do a really great job at wrapping the burger in lettuce), with everything on it.
I then inform them that my spouse would like a normal bacon burger on a bun. The staff has always reassured me and I hear them tell each other “allergy!” while cooking. They’ve always put my burger in a different bag marked “***ALLERGY***” and there was a red sticker on the tin foil of my burger.
If you’ve never been to a Five Guys, they have a very limited menu of just burgers (bacon, cheese, or plain) in three sizes, French fries (plain or Cajun), and milkshakes.
The only gluten items on the menu are the buns and malt. The chocolate shakes do not automatically come malted, so there’s never been a worry for me there.
