Safe place, just tell them at the order that you want lettuce wrapped and that it’s because of allergies. We bring our own buns and have an amazing burger and fries! All their condiments are GF as well

Five Guys is one of my most reliable fast food spots. Not only do they make a safe gluten free option, but their burgers are mouth watering.
The gluten free option consists of a lettuce wrap. Messiness is kept to a minimum through their high quality lettuce. When ordering, the cashier will ask you right away if it’s for an allergy. By answering yes, the cashier will make the entire line of cooks aware of this prior to making your burger. From there, one dedicated person will change their gloves and take care of your order.
I’m fairly certain that you can get any topping on your burger. Additionally, the delicious fries are also gluten free, as nothing else goes into the fryer. I’ve been told to avoid the Cajun fries though, so just keep that in mind.
Overall, I’m a sensitive celiac and I’ve never been disappointed by Five Guys. You can always rely on safe, delicious food here.

Fantastic service and knowledge. As soon as I said that I had celiac disease she announced that there was a wheat allergy and explained that I could get a burger in a lettuce wrap and they had a whole procedure. Also their fryer only houses fries which are fried in peanut oil, so the fries are also safe. All in all a great experience! Added bonus: the potatoes were from PEI today!

Had my first five guys experience the other day and I can say it was fantastic! As soon as I had informed them I was GF, the prep counter was cleaned and new gloves were put on, and only one person touched my burger from start to finish!
My friends have been raving about Five Guys finally decided to have their lettuce wrapped burger and fries... Absolutely delicious.... The only non gf items are their buns and the fries are absolutely delicious!!!
Excellent food. Bun-less burgers and fries are safe (dedicated GF fryer). Reliable and delicious. Staff is careful to avoid cross-contamination.

I appreciate that they always ask if my lettuce wrapped order is an allergy. Fries are the only thing in the fryer, so no worries about cross contamination.

I’ve gone three times in two months and it’s been great every time. I tell them “allergy warning, I have celiac’s”. I order mine on lettuce (they do a really great job at wrapping the burger in lettuce), with everything on it.
I then inform them that my spouse would like a normal bacon burger on a bun. The staff has always reassured me and I hear them tell each other “allergy!” while cooking. They’ve always put my burger in a different bag marked “***ALLERGY***” and there was a red sticker on the tin foil of my burger.
If you’ve never been to a Five Guys, they have a very limited menu of just burgers (bacon, cheese, or plain) in three sizes, French fries (plain or Cajun), and milkshakes.
The only gluten items on the menu are the buns and malt. The chocolate shakes do not automatically come malted, so there’s never been a worry for me there.
