The burger was good, the gf bun was decent, the cole slaw was the worst I’ve ever had. The server was clueless. The food was really expensive for a meh experience. I feel like I’m today’s day an age, if you are bring in a new burger place in Gainesville (between Hopdoddy’s and BurgerFi) and charge that much, you should knock my socks off AND offer gf fries.
Ford’s Garage is a neat place to go especially, if you like cars and such.
They have great burgers and GF buns.
I had a cheeseburger and broccoli. No GF fryer.
Side include: broccoli, green beans, salad and mash potatoes.
They also offer grilled chicken and salmon as main dish.
We’ve been here twice in the past week and they did a wonderful job with both our gluten and dairy allergies. We got burgers and chicken sandwiches (with buns!!!) and both were delicious. They do not have a dedicated fryer but there are other side options. We did salad (DF/gf), mashed potatoes (gf) and brocolli/green beans (DF/gf).
food took more than 2 hours to come out. i told the waiter i was gluten free, he said the truffle fries were fine for me. the food came out (burger with no bun as the gf buns were unavailable), and the truffle fries did not look gluten free. i then asked a manager and he told me they were not safe to eat as they had been partially battered! the waiter had clearly ignored me insisting multiple times that i could not eat gluten (coeliac). they came out with a small plain chicken breast and mash potatoes 30 minutes later, after the rest of my party had finished their food. all in all was a terrible experience !!
Mentioned that I could not have gluten, dairy and soy. The chef came out to talk with me. I ordered the Model A hamburger minus the cheese and spices and the French fries. They have a gluten free bun but didn’t order it. They cooked the burger in the oven and the egg was cooked in a separate fry pan. I had green bean side. Perfect
We spoke to the chef who assured us that they take food allergies very seriously. He talked us through the menu and was able to modify to accommodate our multiple severe allergies including gluten, dairy, egg, soy, peanut, and cashew. He even offered to bake the tater tots and fries in the oven to keep them safe from cross contamination. The meal was delicious and we felt safe and cared for. I highly recommend.
