When I arrived I asked for an Allen menu. The host was very kind and explained their menu has a star beside anything they can make gluten free which was great! I also have a dairy allergy he said he would send out the manager when we are seated. The manager never came, which was fine. I explained to the server the allergy restrictions and asked for no cheese on the burger. While eating the burger I found cheese was cooked onto the bacon. I was excited to have the gluten free bun as an option but not excited that they were as mindful of the dairy allergy.
The girl taking the order sounded like she had jist woken up from a nap, telling her our order was more than painful. She was not paying attention at all. Even after having her read back the order and stating multiple times a gluten allergy we still had a bad outcome. Definitely wont be trying this again.
Went during covid for an early dinner. Out of 2 of the 5 gf sides (beans and broccoli). No dedicated fryer, but burger was yummy even without a side of fries. Server was really nice but still messed up 2 out of 3 meals and we were only 1 of 5 tables in the entire place and not all were her tables. Good in a pinch.
food took more than 2 hours to come out. i told the waiter i was gluten free, he said the truffle fries were fine for me. the food came out (burger with no bun as the gf buns were unavailable), and the truffle fries did not look gluten free. i then asked a manager and he told me they were not safe to eat as they had been partially battered! the waiter had clearly ignored me insisting multiple times that i could not eat gluten (coeliac). they came out with a small plain chicken breast and mash potatoes 30 minutes later, after the rest of my party had finished their food. all in all was a terrible experience !!
Mentioned that I could not have gluten, dairy and soy. The chef came out to talk with me. I ordered the Model A hamburger minus the cheese and spices and the French fries. They have a gluten free bun but didn’t order it. They cooked the burger in the oven and the egg was cooked in a separate fry pan. I had green bean side. Perfect
We spoke to the chef who assured us that they take food allergies very seriously. He talked us through the menu and was able to modify to accommodate our multiple severe allergies including gluten, dairy, egg, soy, peanut, and cashew. He even offered to bake the tater tots and fries in the oven to keep them safe from cross contamination. The meal was delicious and we felt safe and cared for. I highly recommend.
