No one speaks English and says yes whatever you ask. I ordered the celiac labeled one to be safe and sure. They are using same wood kitchen utensils for gluten free and the others which is a huge risk for cross contamination. As a result, I have glutened!

Cook your soba in a different pot if you specify that you are coeliac. If you are wanting the hot soba it is a little more on the expensive side compared to some other resterants in the area but was tasty!

Had the cold soba, partner had the hot soba. We did not have a great experience, the server seemed like she had attitude when the only question we asked is if we can add duck to the gf meals they pointed out. Not sure she understood fully or didn't care. Could have just said she didn't understand the question in japanese (learned enough japanese to pick up on common phrases). Food was alright, but seemed pricy based on the amount of food. There was a big upcharge for having them use a separate pot to boil the soba, which would be fine if they were busy, but we were the only ones in there (early dinner).

Had an amazing lunch on a rainy day here. The staff are so friendly (even when I accidentally tried to pay some of the bill in Korean won, whoops!). The gluten free menu is in English which was very helpful. Mum and I both got the tempura vegetables and soba noodle soup. It was absolutely delicious. We were given tea on arrival which was topped up during the meal. It’s a cute little shop and they even had a magazine advertising a Canberra which is 3 hours from where we live in Australia. - such a coincidence. The meal seemed to be a little more expensive than other meals we have had in Japan but it was totally worth it, and recommend going here. Wish I could go back and have it again.

Made a reservation here for our stay in Osaka and it was a perfect option for us. They have gluten free and non gluten free options. It was one of the only places I found that recognizes “Gluten” vs a “Wheat” allergy in Japan. I had hot soba and the tempura veggies and shrimp which was a nice treat that I don’t get often. My group also enjoyed their meals as well. It’s a small restaurant with about 18 seats total but was a very nice experience. We also purchased a bottle of gluten free soy sauce that I can use throughout my travels in Japan (for sushi restaurants, etc.)

If you say you have celiac disease, the gluten-free soba noodles are cooked in its separate pot and the gluten-free tempura vegetables are fried separately. That is really great! The service was super nice and knew exactly what to do. The food was super tasty (some of the best tempura vegetables I had in Japan). Clear recommendation from my side.

Such an enjoyable meal as a coeliac, even my non gf friends really enjoyed it. I had my first taste of soba and tempura and felt confident it had been handled correctly, and it was delicious. The owner made the noodles right in front of us, and the specific mention of coeliac meals and separate preparation put my mind at ease. Definitely worth a visit, and worth the extra cost.

Had the warm soba and gluten free tempura. Dedicated fryer and cooking space for Celiac needs. Cannot praise this place enough, it was so good. It's very rare I get fried food while on vacation. Staff was knowledgeable too.

Great little restaurant with gf soba (100% buckwheat) and gf tempura. Got the soba & tempura set (that was labeled “celiac” on the menu) and it was incredible!! So so good. The meal I got was on the pricer side for what we saw on our trip. Non-gf boyfriend loved his meal too.

Lovely small restaurant that has a few gf options on its menu- 100% buckwheat soba noodles (hot or cold) with rice flour tempura or a seasonal bowl of soba - I had duck with spring onions and greens. The gf options can be cooked separately for celiacs for a slightly higher price. I’d recommend booking as it has a steady stream of gf clients as well as locals.

Very clear gluten free and vegan options on the menu (English menu). Tasty food, we tried the tempura and soba noodles - best we’ve found in Osaka for gluten free options

We had one of our best meals in Osaka here with a group of six. It was a little slow, but I think it reflected the commitment to prepare all of our food with care. Everything was delicious and it appealed to both young and not so young in our party. I highly recommend it.

Just finished a delicious bowl of buckwheat soba noodles in a hot soup with duck. I think the best soup broth Ihave had in my week and a bit in Japan. The menu clearly labels what is gluten free. There are only two options of hot gluten free dishes and they are both more expensive than your average ramen but worth it in my opinion as it was so delicious. My non-gf partner tasted my soup and said it was even better than his non gf meal. Would definitely recommend this place.

Genji Soba is delicious!!! We had the gf soba and tempura. I’m betting there’s cross contamination in oil and water…but we were at the point where we didn’t care (we lost so much weight). Seriously a different dining experience!

The owner understands gluten free and the gf items are marked on the menu. They consist of 100percent buckwheat cold soba, a Japanese traditional option. My husband had the cold soba with a duck sauce and I had one with a radish sauce. Reasonable prices. Our sons enjoyed other ramen options from the menu as they are not celiacs
