Delicious but gluten friendly crème brûlée glutened me! Not safe

Items on the menu are marked as “gluten friendly”, not gluten free. The manager said that all food is prepared in the presence of flower and that they do not suggest anything in the menu for Celiacs.

All fried food is in their dedicated gf fryer, but they prep everything in a common area so the manager said it is NOT CELIAC SAFE. That being said, the gf chocolate mouse is to die for.

One of my favorites, but there is a definite chance of cross contamination due to it being a bakery and also serving non gf food. I’ve never gotten sick from here but it’s a possibly like it is every where else. Super great tomato soup that is gluten free. Not a lot of choices for dessert but the macarons and creme brûlée are delicious!

The menu clearly states the difference between what is GF, and things that are GF but will have cross contamination (like everything fried). That doesn’t leave a lot of options, but then food I’ve had- is good. I wouldn’t eat anything from the bakery, too hard not to cross contaminate. I wouldn’t feel comfortable getting the sandwiches with GF bread, either.

Very few GF dessert options. It’s a shame because all their desserts are otherwise amazing. I basically could only have the pudding.
Gluten free bread and cake. Wonderful.
Amazing gluten free options including a creme brûlée oatmeal and amazing eggs Benedict’s. All gluten free bread is from a local amazing bakery that I have visited multiple times. So yummy. I had absolutely no reaction.

Staff was knowledgeable about GF and GF items are clearly marked on the menu. Tri-tip steak with potatoes and asparagus was the only hot entree. There were many salads as well as four desserts. We split an almond horn cookie and it was fresh and delicious! Four stars simply because I’d like to see more hot entree choices. Helpful, pleasant service despite being very busy on a Saturday night. Will definitely eat there again.
Service was a bit slow (had a hiring sign outside). Menu had GF clearly marked, many choices. About 6 different desserts that are gluten-free including rice pudding, Chocolate mousse, cheesecake, mocha torte (which I had then was throwing up an hour later) almond horn and a couple others. They have the gluten free desserts on the BOTTOM shelf, which may be the reason I was contaminated.

Gourmandise has delicious main dish choices for every meal that taste incredible and are gluten-free! My favorite dinner is the steak poivre--a yummy tri-tip with delicious sauce, fingerling potatoes and asparagus. Just tried their shrimp avocado salad with citrus dressing and Brussel sprouts with cherries, pine nuts, bacon and balsamic and loved them both! Their flourless chocolate cake and almond horns are both gf and are my favorite desserts!
