Hard Eight BBQ

Like the other reviews have said, excellent BBQ and they take great precautions to try to ensure no cross contamination. I had the brisket and ribs and I also tried the potato salad, jalapeño cream corn and the beans. The corn is mediocre, but the other sides are good. The brisket and ribs were great! And I like their original BBQ sauce too. *** There is no dedicated fryer, so no French fries or sweet potato fries for Celiacs. *** There are less expensive options for BBQ, but none that beat the flavor and definitely none that beat the friendly, well trained staff. I’ve been to two locations and the staff has been wonderful at both.

Amazing BBQ! Almost all the meat is gluten free, as well as the beans. I go here often and have always had a good experience!

Good Texas BBQ. The pulled pork is NOT gluten free. So when I realized this and saw them cut the pulled pork on the cutting board in front of me, cross contamination was a HUGE concern.

But then when I explained I had celiac disease they took a lot of precautions.

1.) They traded out the knife with a new knife. 2.) They traded out the tongs with new tongs. 3.) They brought out a new cutting board.

I put my food on a separate tray as well and all of the sides inside are individually packaged so I wasn’t concerned inside with cross contamination.

Great food and I appreciated their efforts once I told them I had celiac disease.

AMAZING Texas BBQ! Loved the brisket!!! It was our favorite! But I also thought the pork ribs were the best I’ve ever had! Rib eye was outstanding as well!!! Original BBQ sauce is gluten free! (Spicy is NOT) They have a list by the serving pit of the gluten free meat and sides. PULLED PORK IS NOT GF. But all other meats are! Can’t wait to come back!

Called ahead of time and was advised there is a gluten free menu. When I arrived I asked for the menu and staff promptly got it for me. Definitely a good choice of gf options! The meats were amazing! Several sides are also gf, the jalapeño sweet corn is amazing!!!

Celiac friendly?

Yes

All meat is gf except pork; lean brisket deserves awards. bbq sauce is gf So many sides, my faves was the jalapeno sweet corn Please note it is hot in all the seating areas from the smokers and lack of ac. I’m including a pic of the gf menu Cons: no dedicated fryer so fries are off limits (for me) No desserts :(

OMG. Fabulous food. The outdoor seating was a bit warm but great for waterpolo teams visiting from out of state

The food was good. All meats except pulled pork were gluten free. Lots of sides were gluten free and they had a list of them marked. I was concerned about cross contamination but did not get sick.
