I was on vacation with my family and as the only celiac person it makes it difficult to find places for everyone to eat. I called ahead to see what the Hard Rock Cafe had available and the lady I talked to was great. She went to the kitchen to determine what they could do about any cross contamination and told me there are many options and that they could flag my order to change gloves to minimize the risk. When we arrived and I asked for a gluten free menu, the server made sure everything came out separate to avoid any issues and the food was pretty good. Didn't have any issues afterwards so it makes me more comfortable to say they did a good job to minimize any cross contamination.
Some Hard Rock locations have a gluten-free menu but some do not. Please check the particular location you are interested in.
Lots of options, I was pleasantly surprised! They have an entire menu for gluten free options
I ordered a grilled chicken Ceasar salad. On the GF menu, it says no croutons, which makes sense. When my order came out, it had both the parmesan crisps and croutons. The server, who admitted she was new, said they have GF croutons. I asked her to go back to double check, and they were actually not GF. So glad I didn't just agree. The salad was good, nothing great, and honestly given the food was not safe, I won't be back.
Great GF menu but the order came with a regular bun and a breaded onion ring. We asked it to be returned and When we emphasized that it needed to meet allergy needs we were less than confident that the kitchen staff or waitress took us seriously. We’ll see how my wife does in the next few hours. I’m not impressed regardless.
My experience was great and they have a large GF menu with actual meals, not just a burger with lettuce bun! My order was marked with Celiac for the chef and the waitress understood the severity pretty well. My sandwich came with an Udi’s bun and the fries have a dedicated fryer
We were in a family party of 11, with 9 from out of town, here Saturday for lunch and a visit to the Aquarium. My daughter and I were the only celiacs. We had their burgers and were served with gf plates as described on the GF menu: delicious! The gf buns were good, but I concentrated on the burger and fries. One of our party, following the Paleo diet, ordered a gf salad (without croutons). Her salad came with croutons, which she simply pushed aside, as she wouldn't actually get sick from them, but we wondered about the care taken in the kitchen. Also, another person ordered a vegetarian taco chip dish, which was brought to him with visible chicken meat in it, which his mother did send back. That worried us too. So I feel fine today, so my meal was gf, and I assume my adult daughter's was too, or she would have said so on FB or email by now. But be careful to pay attention to what you get!
Great Gluten free menu Very accommodating Managers very helpful
As the other reviewers said, there is not a dedicated gluten free fryer. However, I’ve never been to a Hard Rock Cafe that does have a dedicated fryer, so that doesn’t bother me. There was a bit of a wait, but once the food came out it was great. I got a burger with a gluten free bun and mashed potatoes.
They have a special GF menu. I had a good burger. Staff was friendly.
The menu has various options that can be gluten free. I ordered the BBQ chicken tenders, unfortunately the fries are fried in the same oil as gluten plates, so instead it came with salad and frijoles. But the staff and kitchen were completely aware and they assured me that the preparation would be alright.
