Not sure why this place doesn’t have more reviews! So many GF options! The menu isn’t labeled but our server told us only a few items can’t be made GF. My husband and I shared the GF truffle Mac n cheese and the bison burger with a GF bun. They have a dedicated fryer and we choose the regular fries with the burger. They also have a few dessert options (brownie skillet, peach cobbler, seasonal cake, and sorbet). We ordered the brownie skillet and it was tasty! So nice to have so many options! Would definitely return!
Food made with LOVE! We eat here (very) often! The service, food, and environment is clean, professional, and superb every single time. The staff is very much gluten free knowledgeable. (Just let your server know you have a gluten allergy and everything is taken care of.)
There are numerous options for gluten free items to choose from the seasonal changing menu. And there are most (gf) items that stay on the menu year round. Truffle Mac & Cheese, Salt and Pepper Fries, Truffle Fries, H and H Burger, just to name a few!
The other items to absolutely get are majestic (in the world of celiac), dreamy and basically down right delicious are the Roasted Chicken Sandwich, Elote Queso Dip, Birria Tacos(!), and the seasonal chocolate desserts.
I hate that I’m the first bad review but I was genuinely disappointed by this place after reading all the great reviews!
We started with the truffle Mac and cheese which was crunchy as well as the elote queso dip which we didn’t find out until after they brought it is NOT CELIAC SAFE. Even though Hearth and Hill has a gluten free fryer the chips are not made in it. It was very disappointing.
The manager came over to try and suggest the beer battered cauliflower instead to dip in it. It was nice of her but did not work at all. I barely touched it.
Got the Refuel Salad and that had too much going on in it - beets, apples, sweet potato, and rice. Very weird combo for a salad.
Two gluten free desserts available.
This place worked out really well for my 10 yo celiac daughter. We got her GF Mac & cheese from the kids menu and a side of GF fries. She was over the moon. Service was fast. I had the short rib and it was so-so, I'd probably try something different next time but we would totally come back here.
Called ahead to talk about Gf protocols, was informed they change gloves, clean off surfaces, have dedicated Gf fryer. Felt comfortable placing a to go order. We shared the gf versions of the truffle Mac and cheese, grilled lamb t bone, Korean fried chicken and the short rib pastrami. Nothing was really spectacular, especially for the price. I would eat the short rib pastrami again is all. They were very helpful and accommodating though and I didn’t get sick 😊
Excellent selection. They even had fried cauliflower in GF beer batter. I had mushroom pâté which was outstanding. Server announced that bread was GF as she delivered it. Also had lettuce wraps with pork belly and kimchi. Have to keep in mind that this is a very fatty cut of meat, but still pretty good.
The food was amazing. A couple things to know (I'm extremely sensitive), the silverware is on the table, not wrapped in on a napkin. I rinsed mine before eating. They tried you take our appetizer plate and put the silverware back on the table and I had to ask them not to touch mine.
We had some left overs and the waitress put them in the box for us. She was not careful and put her hands inside the box, so I won't be eating the left overs. Next time, I'll ask if I can do it myself now that I know it's what they do.
You still have to advocate for the small things, but they said gluten free and said it again when they brought it. I did not get sick and the food really was delicious. The bison burger was my favorite I've ever had.
My favorite place to eat in town! Everything I’ve had has been delicious. My favorites include the fried cauliflower and fried chicken breakfast sandwich!
This establishment CAN BE celiac friendly, but I recommend dining when they are not busy. They admit to cross-contamination issues but handled my meal brilliantly as we arrived for a late lunch, after the rush. The chef came out to answer my questions, suggested items that were GF or easy to modify. My server double-checked with the chef, a second server delivered my order and very clearly identified my plate as GF, even noting some of the modifications. Lovely restaurant, interesting seasonal menus, well-trained staff.
Menu has several GF and vegetarian options. It is clearly labeled. Also, the children’s menu has multiple GF options.
