Fabulous gluten-free pasties!! I’ve had them twice now and they never disappoint. They are super careful about cross-contamination, since one of the owners is gluten-free. I forgot this most recent visit, but if you want to eat it hot when you arrive be sure to call ahead so they have an hour to bake it. This place is a MUST when we are in the U.P. When they make the GF pasties, they clean and sanitize their equipment and surfaces and then they do not use regular flour for 24 hours prior to making their gluten free pasties. They do not, however, guarantee a 100% gluten free pastie—but I’ve never gotten sick and their level of precaution is amazing!

An amazing gluten free pasty, friendly staff with many measures taken including separate bagging and a very careful kitchen process -- they clean the kitchen entirely and make gluten free pasties once a week before they make anything else. Although they don't guarantee gluten free and instead use the term gluten friendly, I ate here twice and did not get sick (I am extremely gluten intolerant, probably celiac but have not been tested). I had the original beef pasty but they have several GF varieties, several also DF. They use Bob's Red Mill and tapioca flours with vegetable shortening for the crust. Call ahead one hour if you want them hot, otherwise you can buy frozen. They do sell out because they only make them once a week, so call ahead!

They didn’t have gluten free options today. They were rude and reported I should have called ahead to ask, then I could have saved myself the 2 hour trip .

Stopped by this friendly establishment because we saw their “gluten friendly” sign. Took home two frozen, gf pasties & baked them in our oven in our trailer. I nearly cried! They were delicious. I never thought I’d get to try one. I’m gluten intolerant, not celiac, but it sounds like they take safety very seriously. Can’t express how appreciative I am!

We were shocked and grateful to find a shop that made GF pasties while on vacation❣

My adult daughter has Celiac Disease and said the Vegan Pasty was delicious! They kept our regular pasties and GF pasties completely separate and seemed very aware of cross contamination.

Only removing 1 star because it was Monday - the day they say they usually cook everything GF, but they had limited choices and no fruit pastries available of any kind.

However - DEFINITELY go here if you're looking for a delicious GF meal. 🌟 Call an hour ahead to have your meal hot and ready waiting for you.

Wow! That's all I can say! From the flaky, delicious, GF pasties to the service, this place is a winner! I had the veggie pasty and blueberry turnover. It was worth waiting the hour for them to bake them!

I was staying in Marquette but wanted to give my daughter the pasties experience. We are both celiac. We drove to Negaunee to try them. They were amazing. The flakiest gluten free crust I have ever had. Go early in the week, as they deep clean the kitchen on Sundays and make all the gluten free on Mondays. Later in the week there will be less options. Still, I had an amazing 3 cheese and veggie one, as well as one with spicy beef. I did not get to try the fruit turnovers as they were out. However, they ship in the winter and I plan to order some. Do yourself a favor and try these.

They make all of their gluten-free items first and 24-hours after using regular flour and after cleaning everything thoroughly. We picked up some of their Frozen pasties and turnovers and brought them home for two separate meals. I thought they were delicious and I didn't have any bad reactions at all and I'm super sensitive. My wife had the regular pasties and turnovers and thought they were delicious as well. She sampled mine and said there was a slight difference in the taste of the crust, but that's it period

I don't know how many years it'd been since I got to eat a pasty! It was so good! There are vegetarian and vegan options as well. I got a veggie-cheese pasty as I don't do well with beef. You buy frozen or you can call them an hour ahead of time and ask to have one put in the oven if you want it hot. It's a small space with no dine in currently due to covid. We bought soft drinks and ate them in the car overlooking the lake across the highway! It was SO GOOD!

Unbelievably awesome experience for my 1st pastie! The customer service was excellent, they accommodated my celiac diet and I had my 1st apple turnover since diagnosis. 😍

You have to order one hour ahead of time. The gluten free options are made ahead of time and are frozen and half cooked. They’re wrapped and kept separate. My gluten eating wife thought they tasted as good as gluten options. They also have ice cream which they get from a separate tub out of the back.

Amazing! Called an hour ahead and was able to have a warm pasty and turnover. Also purchased a frozen one to take home. My bag was labeled gf and defiantly was and it was amazing. Will be a place we stop at on our trips through Marquette!

Fantastic gluten free pasties! If you want one hot when you arrive, call them about an hour ahead and they will have it ready for you. You will not regret it. I drive from central WI. To get them!

Super yummy!!! The GF pasties are frozen, they can bake them for you or you can take them with you to cook. They have regular ones and fruit turnovers.

I was so excited to find GF pasty’s!

I had dinner here, and although they do not have dedicated kitchen space, they provide a list of all the precautions they take to avoid CC.

Delicious!! Not a dedicated kitchen, but the GF pasties come with a printed sheet of information on all of the measures taken to prevent cross contamination. Per the info sheet, everything they use is clean and sanitized, employees are made knowledgeable about celiac disease, and they do not use regular flour for 24 hours prior to making GF pasties. Awesome, and so incredibly yummy!

Picked up some at the Marquette food fest and quizzed the owner on their manufacturing and was very impressed. Picked up several frozen pasties on our way out of town. Will be getting more when we run out. Thanks to Iron town for making the effort.

You have to call ahead for gluten free pasties as they take about an hour. I stock up on the frozen gf pasties when I'm in the area. They are DELICIOUS! I recommend keeping some in your freezer.

Really great dough and friendly and knowledgeable service. Make sure to call ahead because they take an hour to cook. Cooked and packaged separately, they take extra precautions to make sure it's safe!

Definitely celiac friendly! They say the pasties are gluten friendly, but their process is very diligent and much better than most places. I would say that are gluten FREE for sure. But I respect their commitment to communicating responsibly. Oh - And they are YUMMY!!! Traditional, veggie, and fruit pie flavors. Plus some specials. Go with confidence and enjoy!!

I called ahead for a beef gluten free pasty. Iron Town Pasties was very accommodating -- even when I called to change our arrival time a second time. My companion ordered the regular pasty. They baked my GF pasty in a paper bag to avoid cross contamination. The end result was tasty.

When I passed through the area earlier this year, I was unable to stop by, but I had a nice chat with the owner who is very informed about taking precautions. While not "gluten free," these pasties are "gluten friendly." Read other reviews for other people's positive experiences.

Owner is very knowledgable and helpful. He gets the cross contamination issue and takes the proper steps to prevent it. Had a delicious pasty and cherry turnover. I am very sensitive and did not get sick. Would eat here again without hesitation!

Great pasties and turnovers - I've been hauling their gf (gluten friendly) pasties and turnovers back to Texas for two years and have had no problems. And John is very accommodating with having my frozen goodies ready on time for the long trip!
