The gluten free chicken nuggets are great and they are baked not fried.
When I arrived they showed me the purple box that they use to make all GF orders. The gluten free kit. My food came and the box was never moved. When asked they said they used the purple box. I told them how that the box never mover.... Manager came back to apologize and made new food with box. Be careful!!
WARNING TO CELIACS... There is occasionally some confusion on the bacon. It is not gluten free. Bacon is gluten free naturally but the device in which they cook it is shared with bread. Great deli!
Had a sandwich on GF bread and it was yummy! They also have a very nice salad bar with plenty of GF options! My sandwich came wrapped with a sticker on it so everyone knew thru the whole kitchen that it was an allergy sandwich being prepared
always satisfied, I have eaten here many times with no problems. knowledgeable staff fresh ingredients
sandwich options are great!!!!! dedicated toaster!!!! one of my favorites!!!
Went with my very sensitive celiac daughter on a weekday evening. Talked to the manager (Ryan). She wanted a peanut butter and jelly sandwich, so he offered to bring out fresh pb and jelly from the back (likely cross contaminated in the line otherwise). He made our meals personally. Tasted good and she did not get sick.
Gluten free bread. Yummy sandwich. I am Celiac and felt good about the sandwich and precautions they take.
I had my first ever Jason's turkey sandwich on gf bread. It was at an event at my church, so I didn't see how it was prepared. However, I read they have a dedicated area for gf preparations. The bread was moist and flavourful, and there was ample meat on the sandwich. Bonus...there was a sealed Udi's cookie. It was a very nice surprise for me as I expected to sit out lunch while everyone else ate (as usual).
CC nightmare. I ordered a turkey (just the meat) on udis sandwich bread. The cook came out to tell me he couldn’t guarantee my food would be safe but he would change his gloves and make it off to the side. there was a warning label on the outside of the box saying “good for gluten intolerant people not for celiacs” there was some sort of parsley or something just around wheeler he cut the sandwich so I figure he used a dirty knife and I’m going to get sick. I was really worried but over an hour away from home and my blood sugar was getting super low.
It's hit or miss for me. They have a "gluten sensitive" menu, and they're supposed to prep the GF orders in a different room and use take-out dishes, but probably every other time I go I request that an allergy alert be put on my order and they either don't hear me or they ignore it, since I usually order a baked potato that's GF without any modifications. That said, when they do it right, I get a good meal that doesn't make me sick, and they have free ice cream. Is it celiac friendly? Kind of I guess?
I have ordered twice from this location. I prefer to order online and add detailed notes to ensure the person who prepares the food is very careful. There is also an option to add an “allergy alert”. The first time I ordered I was fine. The second time I got glutened. There are definitely inconsistencies with preparation and there were problems with cross contamination.
I ate there and had a gluten free salad. Symptoms hit halfway through eatting it and got worse throughout the day. Bad reaction...bad enough to never try this again. I tried eatting at another location (in the woodlands) and only had alight issues to the point I wasnt sure if it was the food. Next day I tried it again, but in Humble....and was horrible....has to of been cross contamination. Maybe if you go, watch them make your food and make sure they change gloves before hand.
Menu changed recently and gluten free got changed to gluten sensitive. There are currently no sandwich marked as gluten sensitive, only salads. They do offer Udi's bread though.
My family was served their food and we were told the GF order would be out shortly. 15 minutes later my husband asked where my goid was. They said it was not even started yet. When the food arrived it was in a take out box as usual but the bread was not GF. I didn’t realize it until I took a bite. We will never go back to this restaurant
Be careful! We did a large catering order here ordered some gf boxes... they were marked gf on the box and sandwich was wrapped with a gf sticker but one was a wheat wrap and the other was a croissant (neither of which is gf here) also they put a regular cookie in the box.
Gluten free options and I didn’t get sick! They will prep your food separately using fresh ingredients. For a work meeting I ordered a chicken salad sandwich on udis bread, chips, and an udis snickerdoodle cookie. While the chicken salad wasn’t my fave (super sweet wth pineapples) they have tons of other options too!
I have eaten here dozens of times, always letting them know I have celiac and am ordering gf. Never gotten sick. My order comes out individually boxed.
Called ahead time to confirm they had a gluten free menu. Was assured they could handle cross contamination. I ordered off the gluten free menu. As soon as I ate my meal. I could tell I was going to get sick. Sure enough it was a rough evening. Would not go here again.
They seem very knowledgeable And were cool with me asking questions about the little ones grilled cheese. It is prepared on a pan just for gluten-free items so that it doesn’t get cross contaminated while being heated. The free ice cream is also gluten-free.
They have gf bread for sandwiches
Great options on the gluten free menu, and when you order from that menu, they automatically treat it like you have a gluten intolerance. No need to warn them! I ordered delivery and my salad came with a sticker on it verifying that it's gluten friendly, but that it's not for people with celiac disease because they can't 100% prevent cross contamination.
JD has a great Gluten Free protocol which you can read about via their website. When you ask for GF, they will ask if it is for an allergy or diet. They will prepare your food in a to-go container and place an allergen warning sticker on it. I first tried their BBQ potato and it's pretty good. Then I found a sandwich that had all GF ingredients and it's my go-to now. It may take a little longer for yours since they follow a procedure. I try to go at slow times, because I don't want be a nuisance. Their website is helpful, but I wish they would show what sandwiches would be completely GF once you switch the normal bread for GF bread. As it is now, you have to look through the ingredients and check them all.
I have eaten here a few times and never gotten sick. They offer a menu that states every item that is gluten free, so you can build your own or order from the menu and check that all the ingredients are on the gf menu. They wrap the bread in foil to protect from contamination when heating.
I decided to give their gluten sensitive menu a try. Their menu says they are not Celiac friendly due to a shared kitchen. The cashier and manager both gave my wife an eye roll when she asked for gluten free but one of the food line workers assured her my salad would be handled properly. I asked them to make sure they changed gloves but was told the GS salads were pre packaged and safe. Salad was tasty and I did not get sick so that was a win.
The food was delicious. They brought me the wrong sandwich at first (also gluten-free, but wrong ingredients). The downfall, though, of ordering grilled chicken sandwich is that they use little pieces of chopped chicken and they all fall out of the Udi’s bread, leaving a giant mess. It tasted good, though. They have a warning on the food about their shared kitchen but employees told me people with celiac eat here all the time. You order at a counter and then sit down and they bring your food to your table, so it’s sort of like a McDonald’s with delivery people.
I ordered over the phone and they told me that their dressings all contained gluten which was incorrect information. The website says otherwise. When I arrived the manager did not know. When I placed my order over the phone I stated that I had celiac. When I ordered my food, the label on my salad said not recommended for celiacs -_-
