I have Celiac vs an "intolerance", I'm usually sick soon after, but I'm all good! I ate about 6 hrs ago & no issues. I haven't had any "sandwich" other than what I make @ home, in a 100% GF environment, since I was diagnosed in March of 2009...so this was MAJOR! I'm also a lil OCD about it being contaminated b/c of being sick for a week after. Not. one. problem.
The GF bread is really good, it kinda falls apart a little, but otherwise great! I wish it had a little more mayo & oil to counteract the dryness, but that's an issue for me no matter who makes the sandwich.
Will totally return & recommend!

Always ask if I have a allergy or just a preference, and then fix my order on a special surface.

Very knowledgeable about being GF and took all precautions for preventing cross-contamination.

Not celiac disease friendly. The say on the menu that the do not recommend it for people with celiac disease.
No
The staff was incredibly knowledgeable about gluten allergies. The guy taking orders walked me thru everything they do to insure your food stays GF. They switched gloves, cleaned the meat cutter, had new knives ready to cut. If you order a hot sub, they even clean the grill off. Delish!

Gluten free bread. Workers know how to handle celiac customers. I will come back for sure.
Excellent Philly Cheese steak and great gluten free bread!!
Yes
They stopped everything and deep cleaned the meat slicer and had special bread in its own plastic. They changed gloves and had separate mayo to avoid cross contamination. The bread was the best gluten free bread I have had so far!
$2.50 extra for gluten-free bread. Sandwiches are good. They were pretty good with precautions. Still, if I were super sensitive, I’d be worried about the amount of wheat flour crumbs floating around.

Service took a while. I ordered ahead of time even. I waited around 15 minutes once I arrived and was told it would take longer because of my allergy. Overall bread was hard and fell apart while eating it.

I stopped by on a Sunday afternoon to get a gf sub. They asked allergy or preference, wiped down the counter, put down paper, used a clean knife, changed gloves, and were cool about grabbing toppings from the back. They even moved the sandwich to fresh paper at the end of the line instead of wrapping in the paper that had sat on crumbs. Altogether I was impressed! At most locations I have to correct things as I go down the line, but the two staff who interacted with me here seemed very well trained on gf protocols.

They ask if you have an allergy or preference when it comes to the gluten free bread. After stating I have an allergy they cleaned the slicer, the counter, and all of the staff switched gloves. A new employee had accidentally used the mayo knife so they gave me new bread and then they use the squeeze bottle of mayo to prevent cross contamination. Everyone was very friendly, understanding, and aware of how to handle my allergy.

Amazing processes and protocols for safe handling of gluten free sandwiches to avoid cross contact. They explained their protocol to me without me prompting or asking any leading questions, showing me that know how to prevent cross contact.
