Would not recommend for celiacs. Despite an allergy menu online and even a sign in the store saying to inform staff of allergies, the staff was unaware of what items contained gluten. When I asked for chicken thighs, the employee scooped chicken onto a shared cutting board with visible crumbs of gluten from the crispy chicken. I asked her to use clean utensils, and she got a new cutting board but used the same contaminated knife. I paid for the salad but felt too unsafe to eat it. With contamination risks from some proteins, shared utensils, and uneducated staff, this isn’t worth the risk when Sweetgreen is a much safer and similar option.
The corporate allergen guide had multiple errors stating items were gluten free when they in fact were not. I got given a gift card for pointing this out, but beware- the guides are still incorrect. I have now ordered 4 times from here to use the free money, but every. Single. Time. They have messed up. Cross contaminated cutting boards, employees who don’t know what contains gluten or what it even is. SOOOOO much cross contamination. I still have $60 in gift cards for them and I am not going to use it, I always have to make them remake the salad and watch CLOSELY them making the new one. Not worth it, and I always feel kinda queasy after.
TLDR: just salad says they have GF, but the guides are wrong and there is massive cross contamination
Food not marked GF on menu but they do have a detailed ingredient list on their website. I mentioned my celiac disease to the worker and I didn’t get the sense they were knowledgeable. I got the cilantro lime chicken bowl with no pita bread which was good but BEWARE: they cut their breaded chicken on the same cutting board as their non-breaded chicken. I had to stop her and ask for new utensils and cutting board. Watch them as they go down the line to ensure your food is safe. I ended up having no reaction but I was a bit weary. It was one of the only options in the mart.
