The food here was great! They have an entire gf menu. The service was great and when my mom and I mentioned that we have celiac they were super knowledgeable and they explained that they even have different colour plates for their gf food. I felt extremely safe eating here and really enjoyed the food. Got the calamari, two pastas (I hadn’t had ravioli in over 7 years and it did not disappoint!) and a pizza for everyone at the table to share

Absolutely phenomenal! Quite a busy little spot but it’s worth a wait! The staff were so friendly and welcoming and happy to answer any questions. So many gluten free options at or around the same price as the regular menu items. They even have multiple gf desserts!

My first ever GF restaurant experience and so happy it was here. Rebecca was our server and was wonderful. The pizza was top notch and devoured by me.

This is a real gem!! There is a dedicated gluten free menu and prep area in the kitchen. The chef came to the table and told us about his Celiac awareness training and how he trains his staff. He has been certified gluten-free by the Celiac Assiciation. What a gift to us Celiacs. His story made me cry, in gratitude. What a lovely man...and he is not a Celiac. But, he understands our disease. And, the food.....I was skipping the table with delight. It was all delicious! And, I felt safe so I relaxed with the experience. My friends ordered off of the regular menu and the gluten-free menu and they couldn't taste the difference. It was all tasty and delicious!!! And, as a plus, ALL the desserts are gluten-free!!

The meal was delicious! My Caesar salad, garlic bread, and mushroom ravioli were all served on black dishes versus the white dishes for the regular food. The cheesecake is gluten free and my daughter who eats gluten ordered it as well and loved it. My family all enjoyed their meals and desserts, and the portions were generous. Fifi was a very nice waitress. My son was sad that we’re only visiting Ottawa and won’t be able to eat there again. We’d all go back in a heartbeat!

Truly the best dining experience. They ask at the door if you need a gluten-free menu. They have a dedicated GF kitchen area, as well as a non-GF one so you can go enjoy with non-Celiac friends. Food is prepared separately and stored separately. This is the only restaurant with CCA certification. All staff take training on Celiac and Cross-Contamination. The owner and Chef is fantastic and will come talk to you about his story and their protocols, including colour coded plates etc.

Amazing food and service, they have a certification to handle gluten free food. my son is Celiac and reacts with stomach ache and throwing up if he consumes gluten so he is perfect indicator of safety. My son was over the moon to be able to have pizza in a restaurant as any other pizza / italian place is not safe. The gluten free pizza and pasta were delicious. One of our favourite places to go when we go back to Ottawa

Wow! Wow! Wow! We ate there 2 times on our vacation and it exceeded our expectations! Separate cooking area and gluten free menu. Great experience! I appreciated how they announced that the appetizers and my meal were gluten free and that my brother had the “wheat lasagna” when they placed them at the table. I had an excellent experience at La Dolce Vita. They take gluten free and celiac very seriously. There is a full GF menu, including all of the desserts. The GF pasta is made separately from the gluten pasta. The gluten free dishes come out on a black plate and the waitstaff verbally identified and confirmed the gluten free dishes. I had the chicken Parmesan with spaghetti and the crème brûlée for dessert. Everything was delicious. Very knowledgeable and attentive staff, spoke to the chef briefly as well. It’s small but great!

My FAVOURITE restaurant in Ottawa. After we discovered it we went 6 times in a year on every occasion we could.

Dedicated kitchen space, pans, pots, you name it for GF dishes. They're very knowledgeable, certified, and it shows. The GF food comes out on a black plate so you always know.

Most things on the regular menu which aren't already on the GF menu can be made GF by request. They also have cheesecake, the only place I've been able to eat it.

The chef always comes out to say hello which is absolutely charming.

Oh my what a quaint spot in Ottawa Ontario Canada 🇨🇦. Definitely recommend going here for a fantastic homemade gluten free meal. My first time here and won’t be my last. I had gluten free polenta bites-chicken parmigiana-spaghetti noodles with Alfredo sauce-garlic cheese toast. Thanks so much for a great evening with my grandson.

Wow! Awesome. They get it. Highly recommend the polenta and stuffed mushrooms. I found the gf pizza crust a bit too thin and floppy for me but I have loved everything else when I’ve been there. Service is next level. I can go there and forget I have celiac.

Unfortunately, I was not able to taste any of the food. I tested both the appetizer and the main dish with Nima, and both tasted positive for gluten. The chef came to the table and was apologetic, but did not offer to re-make the food and to try to make it right. He kept talking about their "celiac safe" certification. Clearly, that certification doesn't mean much. Very disappointed.

So many options on this menu, the most I’ve ever seen at any establishment. I had the chicken parmigiana with an Alfredo pasta and garlic bread. It was all absolutely amazing. Staff was very knowledgeable and the chef even came to our table to see how we liked things (specifically asking how we liked the gluten free food). My new favourite restaurant - wish I live in Ottawa!

Amazing for celiacs. Separate certified kitchen with the same food for non celiacs. Staff was so personable and chef even came out to talk with us and share a drink at the end of the night.
