Truly the best dining experience. They ask at the door if you need a gluten-free menu. They have a dedicated GF kitchen area, as well as a non-GF one so you can go enjoy with non-Celiac friends. Food is prepared separately and stored separately. This is the only restaurant with CCA certification. All staff take training on Celiac and Cross-Contamination. The owner and Chef is fantastic and will come talk to you about his story and their protocols, including colour coded plates etc.

Amazing food and service, they have a certification to handle gluten free food. my son is Celiac and reacts with stomach ache and throwing up if he consumes gluten so he is perfect indicator of safety. My son was over the moon to be able to have pizza in a restaurant as any other pizza / italian place is not safe. The gluten free pizza and pasta were delicious. One of our favourite places to go when we go back to Ottawa

Wow! Wow! Wow! We ate there 2 times on our vacation and it exceeded our expectations! Separate cooking area and gluten free menu. Great experience! I appreciated how they announced that the appetizers and my meal were gluten free and that my brother had the “wheat lasagna” when they placed them at the table. It made me feel extra safe. The gluten free pasta the next day was great warmed up again, no issues with it being mushy!

I had an excellent experience at La Dolce Vita. They take gluten free and celiac very seriously. There is a full GF menu, including all of the desserts. The GF pasta is made separately from the gluten pasta. The gluten free dishes come out on a black plate and the waitstaff verbally identified and confirmed the gluten free dishes. I had the chicken Parmesan with spaghetti and the crème brûlée for dessert. Everything was delicious. Very knowledgeable and attentive staff, spoke to the chef briefly as well. It’s small but great!

My FAVOURITE restaurant in Ottawa. After we discovered it we went 6 times in a year on every occasion we could.

Dedicated kitchen space, pans, pots, you name it for GF dishes. They're very knowledgeable, certified, and it shows. The GF food comes out on a black plate so you always know.

Most things on the regular menu which aren't already on the GF menu can be made GF by request. They also have cheesecake, the only place I've been able to eat it.

The chef always comes out to say hello which is absolutely charming.

This place is a gem.

Oh my what a quaint spot in Ottawa Ontario Canada 🇨🇦. Definitely recommend going here for a fantastic homemade gluten free meal. My first time here and won’t be my last. Wow! Awesome. They get it. Highly recommend the polenta and stuffed mushrooms. I found the gf pizza crust a bit too thin and floppy for me but I have loved everything else when I’ve been there. Service is next level. I can go there and forget I have celiac.

Unfortunately, I was not able to taste any of the food. I tested both the appetizer and the main dish with Nima, and both tasted positive for gluten. The chef came to the table and was apologetic, but did not offer to re-make the food and to try to make it right. He kept talking about their "celiac safe" certification. Clearly, that certification doesn't mean much. Very disappointed.

So many options on this menu, the most I’ve ever seen at any establishment. I had the chicken parmigiana with an Alfredo pasta and garlic bread. It was all absolutely amazing. Nous avons été agréablement surpris par ce restaurant de la petite Italie à Ottawa. Belle petite terrasse. On nous a placé près du bar avec nos 3 enfants (c’est la place où ils accueille les groupes de ce que l’on en a compris) Nous avons très bien mangé. Ma femme qui est cœliaque a reçu son plat sans gluten dans des couverts noirs et nous en blanc. Elle n’a aucunement été malade tout s’est bien passé (pâtes funghi) Elle a aussi mangé un dessert gâteau au chocolat venant d’une pâtisserie (blonde quelque chose) du coin végane et sans produits laitiers.sinon tous les desserts sont sans gluten. Le proprio/chef est venu nous voir pour valider que tout était ok. Il est même revenu une 2e fois pour chanter happy birthday à ma fille. C’était une belle soirée. Je recommande fortement cette place.

I was so surprised by this cute little restaurant. Super relaxing and they know how to deal with celiac disease. The gluten-free lasagna was incredible and the tiramisu too! I really recommend that place ! Incredible 🤩😍

Complete gluten free menu with almost as many options as the gluten containing menu - had a full celiac safe menu verified by the GFCP backed by the CCA. Owner/Head chef was out and speaking with customers said that every member of staff is trained for cross contamination protocols. Food was delicious and the safety was priceless!

This place was absolutely adorable. So many gluten-free options! We didn't ask to see the chef but he came out to chat with us to discuss how he's gone through great lengths to get everyone on his staff certified to prepare gluten-free food. We had garlic bread and a cheese pizza and it was delicious!
