Saturday night (September 3, 2016) we were seated at the second floor for our daughters engagement party. I have celiac disease, (autoimmune disease to gluten) I cannot eat out often because of cross contamination issues in kitchens of restaurants. I called a few days before the event and spoke to Randy the manager. He assured me he could provide me with a safe meal. I placed our order with him over the phone. When we arrived, Randy and our waiter (can't remember his name) could not have been more accommodating. They met with me prior to taking orders, reviewed everything, brought my food and drinks out separately, reassuring me throughout the evening. And they did it discreetly as none of the other guests were aware. I can not tell you how grateful I am for having this experience and that Randy went above and beyond to make my food safe. Right down to dessert! You really never know until after an hour of eating if everything has gone safely, but yes it did. To be able to enjoy my daughter and future son inlaws engagement gathering, was the biggest gift Legal Harborside Dining could have given us. Thank you Randy for all that you did. My family loved going here while in Boston on vacation! It was busy so we had to wait a bit, but after our order was taken the meal came quickly enough and everyone was happy. My husband enjoyed is first ever GF fish and chips (a pre-celiac dx favorite), my 11-year-old was happy to find a cheeseburger on the menu, and the rest of us enjoyed all sorts of great seafood!
This is at the Logan airport in Terminal A under the name Legal's Test Kitchen. My server had Celiac, and he assured me that they really know how to take care of us. I had a special that was breaded in gf batter. I think it was one of the best seafood dinners I've ever had!
Made my day! Their batter does NOT have wheat in it, so fried anything is good! They also have GF rolls, of which I made myself mini lobster rolls to go with my slaw and french fries!
This place was amazing! They even brought out gluten free rolls for me and were very considerate. They have a separate fryer for the gluten free food and were knowledgable. Definitely recommend!

Best GF Jasmine Special I've had at any Legal Seafoods. Great GF experience. I wish they had the old GF rolls, new ones are good, but I like the old ones better.
This is for the Logan airport Terminal C location. This location used to be pre-security and at that time they offered pretty much the whole gluten free menu that you would find at a regular Legal Sea Foods restaurant. The restaurant has now moved post-security and the gluten free menu is much more limited (although still better than pretty much any other airport restaurant). Basically, they lost the gluten free flour and dedicated fryer in the move. So lots of pan seared seafood and grilled veggies. Also of note, they are always busy and they have crammed as many seats as possible in the space. If you sit on the bench side of the table expect to have to squeeze between the tables (unless you are size zero). You may want to decide ahead of time if you want to shove the front or the back of your lower half in your neighbor's face.
Separate gluten free menu. Lots of selections. Food is presented by manager to make sure the correct GF food is served. Staff is very knowledgeable on GF menu options.
Gluten and dairy free food in an airport?? Outrageous! They even had a gluten free menu and beer!
My 13 yr old daughter with Celiac and I were stuck at Boston Logan for 8 hrs and being able to eat a full, healthy meal at this restaurant made her day. Travel usually consists of a lunch box full of random snacks that don't fulfill her all day. The staff was extremely knowledgeable and talked up the GF menu. We even enjoyed GF croutons on our salad, something you just don't find in public venues. 5 stars!
Airport food is not scary here. The crab avocado salad was 100% GF
Best place in the country to get GF food inside an airport. I haven't had any issues with any of the Legal's at Logan. I love their food and never miss an opportunity to eat here when I'm traveling - it's actually worth getting to the airport early.

Outstanding! The wait staff was extremely knowledgeable and made sure that everyone serving me knew I had a gluten allergy. Had fried calamari, gf bread, lobster, risotto pancake, clam chowder.... came here for dinner and came back for a lunch because I was so impressed and comfortable with the service.
Our waiter had gone through specific training to accommodate to our needs. My food was phenomenal and I can't remember a time when I have eaten a gluten free clam chowder and a gluten free fried shrimp. Overall, this is a great place, and would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a good place to eat!
Super yummy. I have found legal seafood to be universally wonderful and taking celiac and food allergies seriously. I was in a rush but was quickly provided with super yummy fried shrimp and fries all GF to go. Before my international flight this was a must!
Excellent choice for dinner!! Our waiter helped with our GF and DF questions. The only "mess-up" came when we realized that my husband could have requested egg wash prior to frying as opposed to a buttermilk wash. He had the Fisherman's Platter. He was very pleased with the taste!! I had the char-grilled snapper with broccoli and rice which covered my GF and DF needs. The GF rolls are also DF which we had with olive oil brought to the table as opposed to butter. When I asked if the rolls were made in house, they said no, but they wrote down the name of the company from which they were ordered. The rolls are made specifically for the restaurant, but I look forward to checking out the website for other GF possibilities. We will definitely return when back in DC!!!
used to be very good. still good with allergy-friendly dining, but the most recent time we went, with multiple people with different allergies at the table (that's why we chose this place bc they've always handled it well), we waited over an hour for food, and no check in from management. poor waiter got stuck in the middle, fearing that we would leave him no tip. manager emerged only bc we ask for one at the end of the meal, and a small discount was reluctantly offered. not much of a heartfelt apology either. makes it hard to think about returning to this location with that kind of service.
Absolutely amazing with incredible service. Very celiac safe, and probably the best gluten free experience at a restaurant that I've ever had. The food is delicious, especially the free gluten free rolls. Staff is very knowledgeable and accommodating. The manager brought my food out himself and explained all the ingredients and cooking methods to confirm the safety! This is definitely my new favorite spot.
Flying through Boston's Logan airport today for a late night flight to Canada. Needed to find some dinner during my 90 minute layover and was lucky enough to find this across from my gate. It's a bit pricey like any other airport restaurant, but worth it. So the majority of the menu is or can be GF. What a find. So since I'm in Boston I had to have clam chowder and legals fried clams. It's been years since I've had fried clams in a restaurant so had to do it. Chowder was great. The fried clams were good. So per server all their fryers in all locations are GF.
I have to change my initial rating. While I don't think I was glutened with this meal, I did get violent food poisoning. I ate grilled trout and coleslaw (& some fries). Not sure what happened. It was bad. I'm sad to cross this one off my list of choices. Initial Response: Great meal. It was a relief to eat here. They knew what they were doing. My first French fries since being diagnosed with celiac.
My new favorite restaurant. I have Celiac and Wish I lived closer. Came here on vacation and it was great to know I would not get sick from eating their food. Waitress was very knowledgeable and the food is fabulous. I would recommend this to everyone. Gluten free beer available, gluten free rolls, and gluten free deserts as well.
They were great! The manager brought out my food, showed me the ticket, which was marked celiac, and assured they took all the right measures to keep me safe and I felt fine after eating a salad and mussels. The restaurant trains staff in celiac and cross contamination and started a gluten free/celiac friendly food program on in 2005. I'm amazed and pleasantly surprised
Love love love legal seafood. My first time at this location but have been to the one in the airport and in tysons. All excellent. When I started to order they had brought out regular rolls and when I mentioned gf the waitress went straight away to order me some yummy warm gf rolls. Gf fish and shrimp and fries and Greek salad shared among us. It was all super yummy. Always recommend legal seafood. Wonderful!
This place is fantastic! I mentioned to the server that I needed GF options. She was knowledgeable and friendly. And I finally got to have something GF and fried! The buffalo fried shrimp was fantastic! They brought warm GF buns to the table, so I was able to enjoy while the folks I dined with has their own buns (served separately). Absolutely great food, no reactions. The only problem was I ate waaaaay more than I should have!
I usually stay away from chain restaurants, but not in this case. I love this place. Sometimes I crave comfort foods and they have an extensive menu of things to choose from. Their fried shrimp and calamari is delicious. I've eaten here many times while traveling and is has always been safe.

Whenever I am in DC or Boston, I must go to Legal Seafoods! I have Celiac Disease and they are very careful. Their warm gluten free rolls are delicious. Even my gluten eating friends were surprised by how good they were. One time in DC I had fried oysters. Oh my goodness! After my diagnosis, I didn't think I would ever be able to have fried oysters again. I was thrilled. I thought they were delicious.
Manager brought all my food personally. Everything was delicious including the gluten free rolls. I had scallops over a bacon hash wonderful. Lobster And a chocolate pudding cake for desert. Everything was delicious!!
Thank god for legals! No one has tried harder to push the gluten free/celiac cause than these guys. While some say it taste like chain food I think they have managed to stay ahead of other chains and their stale menus or bland food. Legals uses GF ingredients and fryers for all of their fried food and is very careful with cross contamination. Where else can you get fried fish, bread and clam chowder that is GF!? I would love it if they had lobster rolls with GF bread or hot dog bun, others have mastered this and it wouldn't take much (yes they will make with their GF rolls but its just not the same). Please don't criticize Legals even if you don't love the food because they have done so much to advance GF/Celiac causes and it's not just for the diet fad, they have real allergic sufferers in mind.
