Sadly. I got glutened here. I usually have really good luck with legal. None of my food was delivered by a manager. The whole place just seemed off. I should have asked for more assurances.

Dinner menu options were somewhat limited, and the fryer was NOT gluten-free. Food was just mediocre - all of our meals, not just my GF dinner. We’ve eaten at this location before but it’s been a while and we were all disappointed in the quality of our food. On the plus side, what I did get was safe (but not labeled / delivered separately).

Legal Sea Foods does NOT use beer batter in their fryers anymore so they have safe, dedicated GF fryers! I had the calamari & fried shrimp and had no issues. Such a joy to have fried food again!

GF options are limited but our server was knowledgeable about celiac. He helped me find a safe meal (grilled fish with veggies), and I did not get sick.

This used to be one of my go to places. Sadly, since they were bought out that will not be the case again. They’ve changed their procedures now can’t guarantee that any fried food is gluten-free. He also seemed to not be terribly confident about cross-contamination.. Offered to bake me some scallops but I was just too uneasy. I will miss you legal seafoods.

Legals is no longer good with gluten free :(. SOO VERY SAD! They reduced their menu but even though they say some fried seafood is GF, it isn't because they now offer beer batter which is fried in the same fryer. Roger Berkowitz should not have sold out to this restaurant group. Legals has spent years perfecting batter for deep fried seafood and GF rolls and specializing in allergies. It was clear the GF rolls were not freshly baked, they were reheated and very dry and hard - terrible. Their fryers are now contaminated with beer batter (please let's not go back to the 1990's!) I have been going to Legals for years, they did gluten free when it wasn't "popular". They now don't even offer GF rice. My favorite entree was the jasmine special which is no longer even able to be made. Our waitress who was GF suggested I get a salad, really??? So Extremely Disapointed!!

Thank you Legal Seafoods! I have been gluten free for over a year and have never been somewhere so accommodating. I also have issues with many dairy products however butter is fine.
I asked if they could heat up the Lemon Kale salad and top it with hot lobster but keep it gluten and dairy free except the butter from the lobster. They were happy to do it and it was an amazing meal! Made me so happy I could cry! It is not fun having food issues and Legal Seafood made it so easy!
They have many items they can make gluten free and I want to go back and try more of their other items.
The decor at the Framingham location is so nice, very pleasant atmosphere and staff was great!

I’m not even much of a seafood lover, but I’ve always been treated well here and never had a problem with cross-contamination.

I've never had a bad experience at Legal Seafoods and this location was no different. Server asked right away about allergies, even before I mentioned gf. They brought out gf rolls that were delicious. I got fried haddock that was very tasty and fresh. When I verified they still had a gf fryer the server told me all their friend seafood is gluten free. A different employee brought my plate out separately and told me she was the allergy runner and that my meal was gluten free. Service and food were both great.

Total surprise to me that their fry batter used for all dishes is actually gluten free meaning you can order popcorn shrimp and fish and chips and it'll taste just like everyone else's. Most of the menu is gluten free (no gluten crab cakes though) and if it's not gluten free there's a chance they can modify it to be- I had them make their nutty salmon dish gluten free for me and it was awesome!
Great gluten free items
My daughter, who has a nut allergy, had her food brought to the table by someone who said he was the "allergy certified server"

used to be very good. still good with allergy-friendly dining, but the most recent time we went, with multiple people with different allergies at the table (that's why we chose this place bc they've always handled it well), we waited over an hour for food, and no check in from management. poor waiter got stuck in the middle, fearing that we would leave him no tip. manager emerged only bc we ask for one at the end of the meal, and a small discount was reluctantly offered. not much of a heartfelt apology either.
makes it hard to think about returning to this location with that kind of service.

This is the only place in the Metrowest area that I know that has gluten free baked stuffed lobster and it is truly delicious!! Gluten free calamari is awesome and the sides available are excellent. This may be pricey to some but it's worth every dime if you want to really enjoy a tasty gluten free meal.
This is the best place to go if you have celiac disease. They can pretty much make everything gluten free. This is the only place I can get fish and chips safely, and it's delicious. Although a tad expensive (seafood usually is) I feel so confident in their ability to get the allergy right and I SO appreciate their effort in making their facility safe for all of its patrons!

One of my favorites! They even have GF fries AND an amazing GF chocolate cake dessert. My daughter is Celiac and I am intolerant, have never had a bad experience and am there at least once a week!

Love the food, Im a gluten free celiac, very good service, ask for waitress Omar, he can't be better he's really on top and explain any questions you have and make you feel comfortable. . food and bread buns are really good.

Their GF fish fry is excellent. And, they serve GF rolls while you are waiting for your dinner.
I am a regular diner at LSF and eat at the Burlington location twice a month. Visited this location once. I told them of my allergy and was brought out the gluten free bread. I think it was contaminated because as soon as I finished my stomach started hurting. I ordered gf fried scallops for my main. When I left I went to the natick mall and had to rush to the bathroom. I was very very sick. They were not careful with my food and I would not return to this location. It ruined my day and night.

BEST PLACE EVER!!! It's expensive but so worth it! I had French fries, onion rings, and fried fish for the first time since my diagnosis 3 years ago. I literally almost cried eating because I was so happy. Their rolls are incredible. I made the server check 3 times that they were the gluten-free ones and actually had a manager come over and assure me. Never had such good gluten-free bread in my life!

the food isn't always amazing, but I at least know that I am always eating safely there. their celiac awareness is very good and I never worry about getting sick.

this place is very hit or miss. I keep going back since on paper they do everything right. they often over cook fish and under cook veggies. service is also very hit or miss.
accommodating and attentive ... their GF menu has a great selection.

The menu is extra clear with what is gluten free or not. The fry batter used is totally gluten free, and the serving staff is wicked conscious of allergens. Upon alerting the staff of the severe allergy, they took extra note and had the chef who prepared the meal bring the gf plate out. Their caution paid off as I did not get sick afterwards.

Food was amazing and staff was knowledgeable. They DO NOT have GF buns but offered gluten free rolls, which they forgot to bring out.
I got the fried fish sandwich and calamari for an appetizer. Would definitely come here again.

We had an excellent dinner here and love that all their batter is gluten free! They have a wonderful variety of food and drink options. We loved that you can get so many items here that are typically hard to find at other restaurants that claim to have gluten free. Do yourself a favor and try the calamari…yum! Our server was very attentive and made our experience that much better. We can’t wait to go back!

Been here quite a few times and have been please every time! They have separate fryers and gluten free sushi! Other legal seafood locations do not offer sushi. They have rolls but not for the lobster roll. Staff was knowledgable and helpful!
