Honestly the best airport experience I've had. Stopped in for a 6 am breakfast not expecting anything celiac safe but their gf rolls were perfect with the salmon omelette. The bartender said they also changed all of their fried foods to a gluten free batter so looking forward to flying back to Boston next time!
Flying through Boston's Logan airport today for a late night flight to Canada. Needed to find some dinner during my 90 minute layover and was lucky enough to find this across from my gate. It's a bit pricey like any other airport restaurant, but worth it. So the majority of the menu is or can be GF. What a find. So since I'm in Boston I had to have clam chowder and legals fried clams. It's been years since I've had fried clams in a restaurant so had to do it. Chowder was great. The fried clams were good. So per server all their fryers in all locations are GF.

They get it! Many menu choices including all the fried things! We had the fisherman's platter and chef's choice of grilled fish/seafood and then went back for lobster roll! All orders go through the manager. Excellent service. Highly recommend!
This is at Logan Airport. Most menu items can be prepared GF. I had fried clams ff and slaw. Could have had the lobster roll. Hard choice!! Waitress said GF no problem .
Took my celiac daughter here and she had a great dinner. We were so surprised when they brought just-baked gluten free rolls to the table - - she was in heaven! She had grilled scallops with the garlic/leek brown rice and spinach and did not get sick.
Amazing food and service. I always feel like they really get it to ensure no cross contamination. And the food is delicious. While I usually eat dinner (gf fish and chips anyone?) here it is also an awesome location for breakfast early morning in the airport. So much better than cold eggs and bars and the other limited airport gf offerings.
Staff very knowledgeable and helpful. Huge menu if you have a gluten allergy. Even able to handle my gluten , egg, and butter allergy. Definitely felt like I was in good hands. They went completely above and beyond. Best meal I’ve had in awhile. Waitress Ellery M and General Manager five stars. Thank you!
At first there was a bit of confusion with the waiter but afterwards, the manager came to see us and assured the fish&chips would be 100% safe. So I had that and they topped it with their onion strings and even served us a cup of their chowder! Totally recommend!
Love this legal! It’s in terminal C of the philly airport and I enjoyed a quick meal of fish and chips there before my flight. The manager brings out all gluten free foods and they handle celiac so well.
This was the third legal I ate at in one East Coast vacation haha! Be warned, the portions are HUGE here. Fish and chips consisted of three huge slices of fish on a mound of onion rings that rivaled Mount Everest! (Just kidding- but it was way too much food. My mom and I wished I had split a dish). It was a stop off the highway in Warwick and we enjoyed their gf bread. Totally felt safe.
Make this a priority when visiting DC! This place is so effing good! A woman certified in gf food cam out and delivered our food and assured us the entire kitchen staff was very aware and making accommodations based on my allergy. I had fish and chips. This is not a a joke, I had the most delicious fish and chips ever. I still can’t believe it was gf and that amazing. If you don’t go here you are an idiot. For real.
Not symptomatic so I can't speak to safety other than how reassured I felt. The person I spoke to on the phone was not very helpful, seemed to be guessing what was gluten free. Once I spoke to the manager I felt much better. I was relieved to hear there was a separate fryer. I did a take out order and when I walked in, I asked for the manager, Richard, who I had spoken to on the phone. He was very nice and very reassuring that he would keep my little boy safe. The fries were good.
I’ve been coming here during market for years....this year...it has really changed....very inflexible....also changed my normal dish....then told me they didn’t....now you know us gluten free folks are TOTALLY AWARE OF OUR FOOD. the bread that used to be amazing was less than acceptable tonight....I doubt I’ll make it back...very sad...
Amazing! I cannot have dairy as well and they made my meal gluten AND dairy free. They have a dedicated fryer. Had fried calamari and fish and chips with fries! Wonderful to find a place to eat fried food and have a ton of choices!! Crazy that this is available at an airport!
Fantastic choice for celiac sufferers. My husband and I shared “Dragon roll” sushi and they left all sauces on side and left crispy wontons (which contain gluten) on side in a cup for my husband (who can eat them)... then I had mahi mahi tortillas- minus tortilla—- they put them in lettuce wraps and made them gluten free... and we finished with gf chocolate dipped ice cream bon bons (gf)... they went out of their way to assist me... and it was delicious 👍👍👍 We are regulars and I highly recommend.
Great options for GF! They have dedicated fryers and workspace. The manager,David, served my food personally to assure me all was safe for me. GF breads and rolls, GF fish, bacon etc Can’t say enough good about it and it’s in an airport!!!
5 minutes after sitting down, my celiac daughter ate a gluten roll that the waitress brought to our table. This was after explaining we had celiac and her promising us GF rolls. She only ate one bite but only because I looked at the next table and realized they had the same rolls. The waitress (and manager) said “Oops. Sorry”. We did not eat there and wouldn’t recommend any other celiac eating their either.
Menu is clearly marked w/ what items are or can be made gluten free. They use a corn mixture for frying instead of regular flour which was a nice surprise. Unfortunately our waiter was very arrogant and condescending to our questions about cross contamination and ensuring my meal was safe. The food was tasty (gf rolls were excellent!) Chowder was delicious - tasted just like clam chowder but w/ the consistency of a noodle soup almost. Fried fish platter was also very good and crispy. Nima tested the bread to ensure it was safe and it passed. Ate and did not get sick - unfortunately the waiter’s overall attitude put a damper on the experience. Would definitely return but request another service. Overall, excellent food and it’s safe.
Staff was extremely knowledgeable about gluten free/celiac preparation. The server went above and beyond to explain things to me in a way that made me feel comfortable. The food was delicious. There was only one downside, but it was a big one. Fifteen minutes after putting the first bite of food in my mouth I was sick in the bathroom. I had a strong reaction to something there... I had the gluten free rolls before my meal, then had the gluten free fish and chips (fries). It also came with fried onion rings on top. They were aware of my “allergy” so I’m not really sure what specifically caused the reaction, but something must’ve slipped thru the cracks. All of their batters were supposed to be gluten free so I didn’t think twice about eating the fried food. The food was so good and they seemed so knowledgeable I would honestly try them again the next time I’m in Atlanta. Accidents happen, and if it was just an isolated mistake I would still like to try a lot of items on their menu. They told me the owner had celiac and they go to great lengths to make sure it’s prepared celiac friendly, but I guess there are no guarantees.
I've never had a bad experience at Legal Seafoods and this location was no different. Server asked right away about allergies, even before I mentioned gf. They brought out gf rolls that were delicious. I got fried haddock that was very tasty and fresh. When I verified they still had a gf fryer the server told me all their friend seafood is gluten free. A different employee brought my plate out separately and told me she was the allergy runner and that my meal was gluten free. Service and food were both great.
This place is amazing!! Brown rice batter for fried calamari, gluten free buns for sandwiches. Most of the menu can be made gluten free. The staff is very knowledgeable. They have a completely separate kitchen for gluten free orders, plus the chef will come out and talk to you about the meal to make you feel even more safe. I will be back.
