They don't know what their ingredients are. I asked if they add flour to thicken any sauces and they say they "don't know." I used to eat here all the time before my diagnosis and the food is delicious but honestly how the chef doesn't know what he's putting in the food he's cooking is beyond me. Also, not sure why everyone is listing that the food is clearly labeled on the menu? Only vegan and vegetarian is labeled...

Biggest risk here is cross contamination. I was really tired and hungry and decided to risk it. It got sick. Not worth the risk

GF mole! Yummy! They also fry chips in fresh oil before using the fryer for breaded things, so if you are pretty sensitive chips are probably very low in terms of cross contamination/gluten exposure.

The majority of the food they label “gluten free” on their menu utilizes a shared fryer (including the chips), so you have to be seriously careful if you’re celiac. I’ve gotten extremely sick post-meal twice now, and I’m truly sad I won’t be able to go back. If your gluten intolerance is mild, their food is delicious. Cross contamination can’t seem to be avoided though - I’d encourage anyone with celiac disease to avoid it.

Couldn't eat here because they can't accommodate Celiac clients. I gave 2, though, because they were up front about this.
I ate here once and didn't have any problems but another time got sick. The kitchen does not seem easily set up for avoiding cross contamination unfortunately. I am very sensitive to cross contamination though so this could be less of a problem for someone else.

The staff was knowledgable about celiac, but refused to clean the grill and did not have a dedicated fryer. The only option they gave me was a Caesar salad without the tortilla strips. Disappointing after such good reviews...
Very good. They have corn tortillas to sub out if you want whatever fillings are in the burritos. I like to have it like a burrito bowl. There's also a bottle GF beer, but it's $12 a pint.

I have Celiac disease. We went there for dinner tonight. I had the Enchilada Suizas. I also had guacamole Lolas guacamole. The dinner was fabulous. The enchiladas was an explosion in my mouth delicious. Guacamole so good. I'm only here for a few days visiting family. I would like to go back one more time. I did not get sick at all. Kaitlyn had great customer service wonderful attitude

They cannot accommodate for cross-contamination. Shared fryers and flat-top with gluten items. I showed them the previous reviews saying they were safe and they told me that people with Celiac Disease shouldn't eat here.

What a great little place! Front and back patios, very friendly staff, a menu clearly marked with Gluten Free options, including GF beer, and delicious, unexpectedly light and healthful Mexican dishes. The cilantro dipping sauce is outrageously good. You can make an afternoon of it with great vintage shops and other enticing finds surrounding it, and a wonderfully classic movie theater across the street.

I'm celiac and get uber sick. After a million questions I felt confident eating here and I'm glad I did. Food was amazing! Unfortunately the chips are not made in a dedicated fryer so I avoided anything that would need to be fried. Had the enchiladas and they were superb! 👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽sn

The menu labels GF items and the food is great!
Gluten free items are clearly marked on menu. Staff is warm and friendly. The shredded beef enchilada is unique with raisins and almonds - sweet and crunchy and yummy if you like sweet meat dishes. The Birria is delicious. Rice and beans are a little spicy which is fine for me but my 6 year doesn't like it. Restaurant is clean with a funky vibe. There is outdoor seating in front (on 4th street) and outdoor seating out back in a private patio. Both have heat lamps. Arts theater and thrift store right across the street. Two stores away from Anandamide which serves gluten free and dairy free chocolate treats. Make an evening of it.

Very well marked menu, the coca cola carnitas are excellent. I always make a stop when in LB.

Very friendly and accommodating staff. gf items clearly marked. some vegetarian options, but no vegan options. so until they can do more than just salads vegan & gf, there's nothing there for us (maybe the cilantro rice).
