👎👎👎👎👎
We went out tonight for dinner. We ordered several gluten free entrees. Everything looked delicious. They messed up the order and brought out GLUTEN pasta for my celiac daughter.
She ate some, then we questioned it because it came out with bread that looked too good to be gluten free. The waitress tried to cover it and said she thought that the pasta was GF but the bread (which was on top of the pasta) wasn’t. I pressed the issue and spoke with the executive chef and discovered she entered the meal as regular, not gluten free, and in fact the entire meal was full of gluten.
Now we get to deal with the consequences 😞. I plan to call tomorrow and address this issue with a manager to make sure they have better precautions in place so this doesn’t happen to anyone else.

One of the few places someone who’s GF can enjoy fried food- never thought I’d be able to have a restaurant fried chicken sandwich again!

So many gluten free options, dedicated friers, knowledgeable staff. What more could a celiac ask for.

Ordered a gluten free bun, let server know I had an allergy. I was given a regular bun and told it was gluten free. Three hours later I’m projectile vomiting and knew it was the bun by process of elimination, and I noted during my meal how good it was! I called to let them know the next day and they said they would refund my half of the meal… which they never did.

All around great experience! Very cozy and trendy atmosphere. Staff was extremely personable and attentive. Food was excellent. My daughter (celiac) had a GF burger and fries and the squeaky cheese (cheese curds) and finished off with the molten lava cake. Such a treat! All were delicious and would have never known they were GF. She didn’t get sick which is always the true test!

Sometimes it’s fantastic, sometimes it’s just okay. I do really enjoy many of their dishes. The squeaky cheese, calamari, and prosciutto mac n cheese are some of my favorites.

Louie’s is an adorable spot for brunch, lunch, and dinner. Plenty of gluten free options, including buns, pasta, and apps.

This was a nice little gem close to the zoo area! My celiac daughter had a double cheeseburger on a GF bun and French fries! They have a separate fryer. I got gluten free fish and chips and it was great!

The brunch menu is incredibly disappointing compared to regular lunch (basically, you have 1 salad option, omelets, or eggs Benedict without the bread - no gluten free bread/buns available). On top of that, we waited 45 minutes for our food after ordering and it came out cold. Would not recommend.
I left an earlier review giving 5 stars. Unfortunately, the 3rd time we went (May 2019) the 2 people with celiac got sick. We’re not sure what dish it may have occurred with. I did call the manager a day or 2 later and he was very concerned and apologetic. He promised to look into it. I’m sure it was a rare occurrence but wanted to let others know. If we go again, we’ll bring our Nima to test.
Love the GF options. Started with the Cheese curd appetizer (sorry can’t remember what it is called on menu) and fish and chips.
Great food enjoyed by Celiacs and non-Celiacs. Felt great after eating there. Dedicated fryer.

Not only fabulously delicious GF food, but also good servers and drink choices! Amazing pineapple nachos, Emily’s salad and GF APPLE COBBLER
Fantastic menu. Have been twice and both servers inspires confidence. The confit chicken wings were incredible. Looking forward to my next visit!

This place is amazing! There are so many GF options! And the good is absolutely delicious! Our server, Amber, has Celiac Disease. She’s extremely knowledgeable! I will definitely be coming back!

Have the champagne fish and chips. 🤤 So good
The fish and chips were amazing! I would also recommend getting the Brussels sprouts!

I loved coming here. So many options!! Best fish and chips I have had, gluten or gluten free! Thought the gf dessert would have been better warm but the entrees were so wonderful

Excellent fish and chips! I’m celiac, didn’t get sick. Had fried calamari and deviled eggs also. Wait staff very knowledgeable and friendly. We’ll go back.

This place has several gf items on their menu and several others that they say can be modified to gf. Everything on the menu is fried with rice flour, so their fryer is safe. I had the fried calamari as an appetizer and it was delicious. Fish and chips were good too. Our waitress was knowledgeable and proactive. She knew not to give me malt vinegar for my fish and chips. I’ll definitely be back.

Awesome fish and chips! So happy to be able to have them-1st time in 12 years🙂

Lovely experience. The GF options on the menu are marked, and my waitress was knowledgeable - she let me know that when me entree was first ready, someone mistakenly put bread on it, so she had them redo the whole thing for me! The food was quite tasty as well!
Yes
Calamari was great! The gf fish and chips were pretty good. A little fishy tasting.

Gluten free fish and chips! First time in the 9+ years since my celiac diagnosis that I've been able to order that, and it was fantastic. I also got a side of patatas bravas (very tasty fried potatoes), which are not marked as gluten free on the menu, but they were able to make them in a dedicated fryer. I have dreams about those potatoes; they are one of the best things I've ever eaten!

Must visit for celiacs. So delicious and dedicated fryer.
Gotta go! Had the Calamari breaded with Rice Flour (all items that have breading have Rice Flour) as an appetizer. Lightly crisp coating & tasted very fresh, not rubbery. Hubby ordered fish & chips (naturally GF) since use Rice Flour & dedicated fryer, while I ordered the gnocchi so we could share. I was so excited to have Fish & Chips. My gnocchi was actually just substituted GF noodle, not true gnocchi so little disappointed as we asked bartender waiting on us difference to adjust for GF. Still good, but I would highly recommend the Fish & Chips! We will be back.

First time visiting, menu identified items that were or could be made gluten free. Many options. We ordered the pork gnocchi using gluten free noodles and loved it. We will go back again.

My husband took our oldest daughter, who is a very sensitive celiac, for a Valentines date tonight. She was vomiting two hours later (her usual gluten response) and has now been vomiting for close to two hours. VERY disappointed and disheartening. We were so excited to potentially have another safe place to eat but we will never take our girls there again.

want to come back to try more as I only had a few appetizers - but tons of GF options, dedicated fryer, and fun atmosphere. I’m a super super sensitive celiac and had no issues; I tried the brussel sprouts (some bites really good, some bites just okay) and the fried curds - delicious!!

I am a very sensitive Celiac and I had no problems at Louie's. Our waitress was a Celiac herself, so she assured me that it was safe for me to eat there. She said that when she put gluten free on our order she had to specify it was for an allergy and not a preference. I would recommend reminding your waiter/waitress to do that, if you have an allergy. Their menu is clearly marked and you need to ask if their fryer is separate or shared, apparently it isn't all the time. I had the spinach artichoke dip, butternut squash salad and chicken piccata with no issues. I would say this restaurant is very safe for Celiacs.
