Went for dinner tonight. I called first and confirmed that they have GF rolls and was assured they did. When we arrived the staff explained that the rolls are heated on the same griddle. i am not sensitive to that so i was fine. I would assume that you could ask for the roll to not be heated. Very very happy with dinner. Such a treat.
This place is literally what I look forward to every time I’m visiting downtown Philly. First off they have made it very clear to me that there is always potential for cross contamination so those of you who are super sensitive, you may wish to avoid this place. I personally haven’t had any issues in the dozen or so times I’ve been here. If you’re looking for a gluten free lobster roll, crab roll or shrimp roll this is your place. It’s not evident on the menu in the shop but if you ask, they have gluten free rolls. Today I learned something new. Their soups are also gluten free. They use a potato starch and not flour. So I had me a crab roll and large clam chowder. Don’t remember the last time I’ve had clam chowder. It really hit the spot. This is a hole in the wall restaurant that can easily be missed but so worth the go if you’re looking for something gluten free.
Was so nice to be able to have a lobster roll Gluten free bun was grilled and buttery. Yum!

Mouthwatering delicious!! You have to try this place out. And they are extremely knowledgeable about gluten and cross contamination. If they are not sure they bring you the list.
Found this place through the FMGF app and was very please. It looks kind of sketch from the outside, but once you walk down the step into this converted basement, you will find excellent lobster rolls. This version of the lobster roll come with liquid butter painted on the outside of the roll with a small amount of mayonnaise underneath of good portion of lobster. They have gluten free buns and they clam chowder and lobster corn soup are also gluten free. They are very upfront and accommodating for all allergies and it was a pleasure returning for another lobster roll and lobster soup. Excellent. The prices are a little high for lunch $26 for the lobster combo, but worth it.
The staff took extra steps to reduce the risk of cross contamination and the food is excellent with lots of gf options! You can’t ask for more than that.
I wasn't able to eat there because I'm allergic to Soy. But I have to give them high marks because they took the time to read off all the ingredients for me, and were willing to toast something I brought in.

When we ordered, they asked if we were GF as an allergen or preference. My husband is allergic, mine is preference. She said they would change gloves, scrub the grill, and make his first and mine second. There were GF ciders available. The GF buns were absolutely amazing. We’ll likely go a second time before we leave. Right up there with New England lobster rolls.
They were very careful about cross contamination. The clam chowder and lobster bisque were great! The GF lobster roll was wonderful too. Bring your big wallet this place is a bit pricey.

Delicious!!! Gluten free lobster roll! (Also have crab & shrimp) The roll was really good, soft & delicious. They have a great product!! I also had the gluten free clam chowder. Fantastic meal! What a treat ❤ The service was great too!
It is not a 100% GF facility, but they were well educated with gluten free. Cleaned their work area, prepared my meal safely, etc. I felt quite confident they knew what they were doing.
Cant say enough good things - whole entire menu can be made gf!! Servers were excellent and knowledgeable about celiac. Extensive menu and great drinks too! Definitely would go back.
