They had a gluten free menu with about 8 items on it. The ahi tuna nachos were gluten free and delicious and I got the garbage plate without soy sauce and it was amazing! I Wish they used/offered gluten free soy sauce because the ahi tuna would’ve been better! Overall impressed and really enjoyed my experience!
Server brought over a little card that lists all the menu items that can be made gluten free. It does specify they can’t guarantee no cross-contact as it is a shared kitchen (but honestly, few places do). We ordered the nachos and the fish tacos without the tortillas. Both were good, the portions were huge, I had to take my fish taco rice plate home to eat for brunch the next day. So far it’s been 24 hours and I haven’t had any reactions, so I think it was a success.
Although the menu had "gluten free" options, they had shared cooking areas and a shared fryer. The waitress told me the fish was cooked in a separate pan so I opted for a salad with blackened mahi mahi. Needless to say, I left there sick. The waitress apologized saying it was difficult for them to maintain no cross contamination when "it is so busy" and recommended another restaurant in the area that I would have better luck at. If you truly have a gluten allergy, I would not recommend this place!
Great food and service! Staff was very aware of gf needs and explained what was safe even though the menu had gluten free items marked.
