Very knowledgeable about gluten free and large variety of choices!
This place is very safe for celiacs and the staff is very knowledgeable. However, it is not a good choice for vegetarians. Almost everything (even those items that appear to be vegetarian) is made with a beef broth.

This is the MOST celiac friendly mexican restaurant I've found. Very knowledgeable management and waitstaff. The menu is clearly marked with many GF options. I've eaten here many times with zero gluten reactions.
Have never had a reaction and food is excellent. Highly recommend

So many times eating GF out at a restaurant is disappointing, just less appealing than what everyone else is free to order from the menu. Not here! Nearly everything on the menu can be made GF and it is delicious! They also have a dedicated fryer, so it is safe to eat chips (and their fabulous salsa). I highly recommend this restaurant.
I have never had any issues with reactions at this location. There is a large variety of options. Love this place!!
This is soooo good! The menu is marked with what is gluten free and most things are gluten free. They know, understand, and take proper precautions. This is amazing food too! Tacos are filled top to bottom with meat, it’s REAL shredded chicken you can actually see not just pulverized chicken slurry, the spices are spot on... This is the real deal!
I’ve never seen a Mexican restaurant with so many gluten free options. My partner has celiac and has not had any issue here. The staff advised the kitchen of the allergy and a member of the kitchen came out and confirmed everything that my partnered order did not have gluten.
I hate to do this because of their awesome selection on the menu, but last night I definitely got glutened. I asked for my meal to be made gluten free, but within two hours I knew my food was contaminated. Good was very good, not not safe for those with celiac disease!!
SO many gluten free choices. enchiladas, tacos, nachos, fried shrimp. you name it, they had it. got nachos and enchiladas to split. rice and beans were awesome as were the nachos. ate the chips with no problem. ill go back again the next time im in Dallas!
The staff is very thorough! I ordered a labeled GF item and the server informed me that during their GF verification they realized that they started ordering an ingredient that hasn't been confirmed GF or not and asked me if I would like to change my order. Very impressed!
Very, very impressed with this new Mexican restaurant (opened May 2014)! "Extensive" GF menu, special procedures and stations in the kitchen to prevent cross-contamination, GF fryer, GF chips/salsa, tacos, enchiladas, tamales, chile relleno's, etc. and very polite and helpful service! Since I've had to go GF years ago, this is the absolute first time I've been able to have a chili relleno in a mexican restaurant, and it was excellent! Matt's is now my favorite mexican restaurant for GF. Highly recommended.
Opened in 2014. Large menu and 95% of menu is gluten free. It was so exciting to be able to order nearly anything. I had the Deluxe Mexican Plate(enchilada, tamale, taco, rice and beans). I ordered chips and queso both safe to eat. I had a bite of my husbands GF chicken fried steak, cream gravy is NOT safe, but you can choose another sauce to top with. Dedicated fryer for chips and fries, very knowledgeable staff. My new favorite place, with other locations throughout the Dallas area.
Almost everything is GF!!! It was like christmas, tons of choices: enchiladas, fried chile rellano, fried catfish, shrimp, chicken fried steak, chips are fried in dedicated fryer. Manager explained extensive training of staff and procedures to avoid cross contamination. Faborite so far is chicken enchiladas with verde sauce.
