The staff was definitely knowledgeable about gluten free food and when I asked for gluten free bread and ordered chili they informed me that the normal chili was not gluten free and offered me the vegitarian chili in its place. In all, this is a good place for people with gluten intolerance to eat
This location only had an allergen list when I asked for the menu. (though I later found a gluten sensitive menu on their website.) I was told that they had gluten free bread and they could make any sandwich with it. I was given the allergen list when I asked if any soups were gluten free. I was feeling very rushed to order as you order at the register and there were others behind me in line. I was not really thinking and ordered an open face sandwich on gluten free bread that had gravy on it. (obviously, I know gravy isn't gluten free, but as I said I wasn't thinking and was feeling rushed to order.) No one knew or mentioned about the gluten in the gravy being poured over the gluten free bread. When food was delivered, I realized what a huge mistake I had made, but also knew that is what I ordered, so it really wasn't their fault. As I am not celiac, I decided to eat it and suffer rather than waste my money and time and food. Again, I am aware that it is my fault that I got "glutened" but clearly the staff is not aware of the needs of those who cannot eat gluten. (Still giving 3 stars as there is gluten free bread, and it was decent. but definitely not celiac friendly.)
Make sure you get their vegetarian chili and notify them that it is an allergy
They had gluten-free bread which was delicious, but I'm not sure if they're careful about cross contamination.
They have a GF menu and offer GF bread for sandwiches. I asked for an gluten free alert to be put on my order and warned them that if the gloves were not changed, I would be sick. They took this seriously and followed what I asked. I had half a Reuben on GF bread with no thousand island and half a spud. I also like the fact that their iced tea is brewed, not made from a mix, and is Celiac friendly. I had no issues. There is potential here, of course, for cross contamination, as there is at most restaurants or even at people’s homes, but just be specific with your order and use their online allergy menu as your guide. It should be fine.
Called to ask about gluten free. The guy that answered the phone said they have a gluten free bun. I asked what other things did they have that would be gluten free and he said I don’t know. That was all the information I needed. I didn’t even bother going. It’s not worth the risk!
I’ve eaten here numerous times and never had a reaction !
Selection is limited. But I do like the loaded spud. It’s very good and they have natural lemonade.
I had heard that they had good GF options and delicious GF bread. I can confirm both! There are a variety of loaded baked potato, salad, and soup options if you aren't feeling a sandwich. If you're looking for a hearty sandwich that doesn't feel GF, check them out! Lemonade is great too!
Got a spud max. Enjoyed it very much with no reaction
Very few “gluten sensitive” choices and the staff was not knowledgeable. There was one salad identified as GS but none of the dressings are. Baked potatoes were about the only other GS options. Nothing GF.
Been here several times in the last month and haven’t gotten sick. I always get a baked potato and ask them to change gloves
Been there 3 times this week. I've had a salad one time and a sandwich another. My son had a potato. There website has an allergen feature and the menu uses a symbol to show you what is possible to eat. Their sweet tea and lemonade are awesome too.
The food is really good and the employees are nice.
(Celiac) NEVER had a bad experience or a problem after eating here. A go-to when time is tight bc right down the street. Many GF options and have always been open to helping me. Believe all lunchmeat is Gf. Chili is GF and great on potato (Spud ole) GF bread for sandwiches tastes good. Chips available. Safe win for me.
They had gluten free bread - Udi’s I think. I got a spicy southwest chicken and it was hot and delicious! Took 20 min to prep sandwiches so we ordered ahead. Nice selection of baked potatoes w toppings as well.
The GF bread is ok. When we went the staff was not aware about how to handle the GF orders or what sauces were ok to order. Bread is toasted on shared toasted. Sometimes they will but foil over it to protect the bread but sonetimes they don't. Last time here manager informed me when they are busy they cannot guarantee that they can accommodate special instructions on orders. Wasnt happy to be told after we ordered but i understand that when busy they dont want to make promises they can keep. We will not return and do not reccomend foe celiac.
Great experience! The kid who took our order who was probably only 18 was able to give us clear information on what was and wasn't gluten free. He was able to modify the kids menu and put it on gluten free bread. He had them change gloves and the whole experience was fantastic. I felt very safe eating there and none of us got sick. I have Celiac Disease and so do my 3 children and we all are fine!
Great sandwich! Gluten free bread. Got a club. Also dairy free. So far had no reaction. We will see.
Food quality is typical for a chain, but it is nice to have options there and they have a list of GF menu items on the counter.
