Very good for celiacs. They are sure to take care and offer a range of GF options. One of our staples in Cleveland! The mushroom melt is so good! Or go for a classic burger or grilled cheese, it's all tasty!

Great place! Staff are knowledgeable about GF and cross contamination. My daughter got grilled cheese on GF bread. There’s lots of options for customizing. Fryer is shared so no fries or chips.

Greeted me with “do you have any vegan or gluten dietary needs?” Then she handed me the gluten free menu and the regular to compare if I wished. Ordered the tomato basil soup and a Cuban War Pig. Both were delicious and the whole sandwich is quite large! She offered fries, but the fryer is shared, so I opted for the gf coleslaw. Satisfying! Nice change of pace in a glutenous world ☺.

Their food is amazing and they are so good at accommodating gluten and dairy allergies. They have delicious gluten free bread and daiya cheese. My favorite place in Cleveland!
Agree with Jen below, but it is nice to enjoy an awesome sandwich even if it is a little pricy. Past few times I've been they've been able to make the seasonal vegetable gluten free and it tasted excellent.

They are super knowledgeable and there are lots of options, but you already pay an up charge for the bread then they want you to pay an up charge for not being able to eat the fries, and give you slaw. It adds up real fast with the price of the sandwich plus all the uncharges. They need to accommodate with prices better for those who can't help their allergies.

I love melt! I've eaten here tons of times and never been sick.

servers were very helpful and knew the gluten free options well. There was an upcharge for the GF bread and for the salad but the slaw was worth it.
A group of friends and I went to the Lakewood Melt Bar and Grill because we called ahead and asked about their gluten free options. We arrived to Melt and after waiting a half hour, ordered our drinks. When the waitress was taking my order she informed me that they do not have gluten free fries so I asked what I could have instead. She said a side salad (typical for my fellow gluten free eaters). After I began to order she informed me that the side salad was a $3 upcharge, after I am already paying $2 more for gluten free bread and getting no fries. I asked for a manager, and when he came out he said all he could do was take $1 off of the side salad. He let me know that just because I had a food allergy, didn't mean I could be treated special. We just wanted to substitute the fries for a side salad for an equal charge. We left right away and the manager didn't even try to stop us. I hope that this review saves another gluten free person from wasting their time at Melt Bar and Grill.

I was really cautious about eating here, but it turned out great! Our waitress was very knowledgeable and talked to the kitchen to let them know I was a Celiac. I had a half of the BBQ chicken sandwich and the creamy slaw. Both were excellent and as a pepper lover, the spicy slaw was a real treat! They had a large, separate gluten free menu.

Dedicated GF menu but cross contamination is still possible. Lots of choices on the menu. Service was a bit slow. I’ve only eaten here once and didn’t get sick.

I’ve eaten here safely about 8-10 times, usually having it for both lunch and dinner when at Cedar Point. It’s very tasty and I definitely enjoy the food and having somewhere to eat safely. They have a gluten free fryer, so I’m able to have fries, which I enjoy. The sandwiches are served as doubles, so you really only need to order a “half” which is actually one full sandwich. Just make sure to double check the hours because during the summer season it closed on the early side and my understanding is that for the fall season it’s only open on Saturdays and Sundays.

I have eaten here twice and had a positive experience both times. I ordered a sandwich and one time had Cole slaw and the second time a house salad. They noted that I was Celiac when ordering and I felt fine after eating. If I returned and felt like I had a server who was new or not as knowledgeable, after these experiences I would ask to speak to a manager because they really do seem to care about serving gluten free food safely. There is a statement at the bottom of their GF menu about precautions they take.

Ordered a Cleveland cheesesteak on gluten free bread and the fries were made in a dedicated fryer. Great experience!
