Modern Apizza

First time in new haven and my group obviously had to go to one of the major pizza places. GF crust is cooked on its own foil pan so it’s not coming into contact with the oven surface. A nice bonus that my waiter had a celiac son and took my requests seriously without hesitation :)

I tried modern last night for the first time there gluten free pizza is amazing best gf pizza I have ever had since becoming gluten intolerant. They put the pizza on its own tray for extra safety in the oven. The pizza is a bit pricey, but it’s definitely really good and worth it if you don’t get gluten-free pizza often.

Pretty good pizza!!!! Don’t think they make their own crust but still super good. Staff knew all of the gluten free toppings. Super easy to order

Great pizza! Not the best I've ever had, but definitely a solid choice. No separate ovens though.

Just about the tastiest GF pie ever! They cook it on its own metal tray so it doesn’t touch the oven and use a dedicated slicer. As we all know, cc in a pizza restaurant is always a risk. But we felt comfortable taking a chance here. (My daughter is asymptomatic so there is never a sure-fire way to tell.)

The staff was kind and willing to check in the kitchen about individual ingredients. Gluten free pizzas are smalls (12”) and are pretty good! I reheated them in the oven later and it crisped it up a bit more which helped. I’m not sure if they have a separate preparation space though.

Ate here twice. The first time GF pizza was good, no problems. The second time I got take out and ordered GF pizza with grilled chicken on top. I did not realize until I got home that chicken was breaded. I stop here on long trips and paid in cash so there was nothing they could do for me. Extremely disappointing and won’t be coming back.

First gluten free pizza I have tried. Not terrible, but it seemed underdone and mushy, except for the crust at the edges, which was super crunchy and difficult to cut through. Probably won't go back for this. :(

I tried the gluten free pizza yesterday... Ohhh my goodness, it was the worst GF pizza I've tried, including frozen. I'm so glad I added bacon! It was so doughy, almost raw. I reheated the other half today, hoping it would crisp up... didn't help much :(
