Went there for lunch today. I asked for the GF menu. I thought I saw corn bread on that menu. So I ordered the chicken wings, slaw, potato salad and the corn bread. Well... somehow I had a moment of insanity or wishful thinking not sure which was responsible but the corn bread is NOT gluten free. The lady that took my order, actually checked with the kitchen staff prior to serving my food. When she brought my food she let me know the corn bread was not GF at all. She said she did it because she didn't want me being sick. What a tremendous act of kindness to double check saving me from being ill. Btw, the chicken wings are some of the best I've ever had. My husband had the ribs and those were delicious too. All of the meats are GF. Not very fancy but a great place to eat.
The pulled chicken was delicious and moist. All BBQ options are GF, many of the sides are GF. No GF bread but the platters are generous. Reasonable pricing.
Ate here with no concerns. Staff was friendly and helpful
You can eat here. They didn't have a specific menu but they explained what is GF. Had no problem and felt comfortable eating here.
I am celiac and eat here at least once, sometimes twice a week while on vacation. I’ve done this several years now and never gotten sick. The staff seems knowledgable about allergens and gluten. The meats and sauce are gluten free, you have to ask about the sides. They can even make sides gluten free (like not adding the topping to the sweet potato casserole). And the sides are too die for. I’ve had the lima beans, collard greens, sweet potato casserole (w/o topping) and they were just amazing - tasted like my grandmother made them - made from fresh ingredients and flavorful - very indulgent! We usually do this as take out, but you can eat inside. Very casual and reasonably priced. Convenient location to Pawleys and to Litchfield.
Yes
They had a separate gluten free menu. All of the meats and sauces are gluten free, as are a portion of the sides. The food was delicious!

All of the meat is gluten free and I verified when I phone in our order. However, when I checked the to go boxes in the car, there was cornbread in each box. 🤦🏽♀ I walked back inside and explained we couldn’t eat any of the meat because the bread was in the same container and the hostess was completely irritated. I made the assumption that they would only give me gluten free food but I suppose I should’ve been even more specific. The food was tasty, not the best bbq I’ve had but I’m from Texas and have high bbq standards! The coleslaw was not my favorite.

At first I was impressed to hear they had a gluten free menu but then I saw it and I was no longer thrilled. The list basically said that all the meats were safe and listed a handful of sides that were safe. It was a little frustrating because you had to us the regular menu to navigate the gluten free menu. Out of curiosity I asked about their fried fish and chicken, (keep in mind the gf menu said all meats are safe) and when the waitress came back she said it was not safe. So I placed my order and everything was going okay when my plate came back with gluten free food with CORN BREAD ON TOP! I’m new to my allergy so I just handed my corn bread to my boyfriend and ate like nothing happened. It turns out that for me even the crumbs on my plate were enough to make me feel sick. I am very unimpressed with Moe’s barbecue for how they handled my allergy. The waitress and kitchen made no note of the allergy and contaminated my food. The lesson here for me would be that this is unacceptable, and I should have sent it back.
The food I was able to get was basically just meat and a side there were not gluten free buns or bread and they were not careful about my allergy.
Waitress and kitchen made no note of allergy and were not careful at all.
