Well I wanted to believe, but as another rater said, even after a whole conversation and an order of gluten-free the ribs came w cornbread on top. There is a high degree of carelessness here... sad because they have good music, but the food is below average once you get past the gluten ignorance
Good food and the majority of the menu was gluten free, however our platters came with large slices of cornbread on them (not GF) which was appropriate because we have some non-gluten free people in our group, but it made those of us with celiac nervous. I recommend specifically requesting no bread.
The cashier was very welcoming and she seemed to understand we were having a gluten free meal, but our ribs came to the table with a piece of bread on them!!!! We told the boy who brought them and he seemed to be out of the loop since he knew nothing at all. Very disappointed and frustrated.
Amazing food. So worth it. You get a good portion for the price. They have a gluten free menu at the front register, you just have to ask. All their meats are gluten free and delicious. I personally tried the pulled pork, ribs, and chicken wings and all were excellent. I will definitely be back to try more.
They always told me their meats were gluten free (i have the intolerance), until I told them my daughter (6) had Celiac. That’s when I learned learned the wings are supposed to be gf, but they cross-contaminate the fryer. It is inconsistent because it depends on who you talk to. That makes it unsafe for Celiac.
I've eaten here almost every week for two months and have never gotten sick. As soon as I tell the staff that I have celiac and need to avoid gluten cross contamination, they know what to do. Most of their meats that aren't fried and all of their sauces are gluten free.
Absolutely delicious. They handed me a gluten free menu and practically everything was on it. All meats are GF and so is their BBQ sauce. Lots of side options as well. Even their baked beans are safe. Highly recommend.
Moe’s has a fairly extensive gluten-free menu. All of their meats (except fried items) are gluten-free, red and white BBQ sauces, and several sides. I’m not sure how careful they are with cross-contamination but I was pleased with the options and the smoked chicken is awesome.
BBQ pork was great. Staff was awesome. We ordered smoked wings, said they were fried in oil with other things. Instead of saying we could not get them, they pan fried them in new oil. Lots of gluten free options including most sides.
They are always very friendly and helpful when ordering. My daughter and I both have celiacs and We both have ate their multiple times and have never had and issue.
I am celiac and eat here at least once, sometimes twice a week while on vacation. I’ve done this several years now and never gotten sick. The staff seems knowledgable about allergens and gluten. The meats and sauce are gluten free, you have to ask about the sides. They can even make sides gluten free (like not adding the topping to the sweet potato casserole). And the sides are too die for. I’ve had the lima beans, collard greens, sweet potato casserole (w/o topping) and they were just amazing - tasted like my grandmother made them - made from fresh ingredients and flavorful - very indulgent! We usually do this as take out, but you can eat inside. Very casual and reasonably priced. Convenient location to Pawleys and to Litchfield.
The GF menu is limited, but exists! All of their meats are safe, and they keep several GF side options. Keep in mind their housemade chips aren't included and I assume it's because they don't keep a dedicated fryer. But definitely the place to go if you're craving bbq!
I was delighted to find this place through this app while traveling. I called ahead and spoke to the manager. He told me all their meats were gluten free and some of their sides. Upon arrival I spoke again with the one taking our order and she assured me that the smoked turkey and slaw was gluten free. They had some sides that aren’t on the menu but were specials for today, one being sweet potato casserole. I rarely can have this because people think that it needs flour in it to make it good. I was so very delighted with my meal at this local restaurant. When I’m Mobile again I will certainly eat here again.
Amazing food and very reasonably priced! All of their meats besides the few fried ones are gf. Several of the sides are gf and the BBQ sauce is gf. I'm very sensitive and I did not get sick. Other family members loved their meals too. The rib fanatic in our family thought they had the best ribs! Highly recommend!
The gf menu can be found on their website (it's a chain). Basically all their meats are gf as well as lots of their sides (not the cornbread though). It does not say what's gf in the restaurant itself so you must check online to see which sides are gf. Fast service, reasonable prices (especially for Vail) and the food itself was very good. I have celiac dz and was fine.
Excellent BBQ. Very knowledgeable about celiac and what items are gluten free and they were very careful not to cross contaminate. Would recommend this place to anyone. Oh and their baked beans are amazing!!! Good background music is a plus!!
The meats are naturally gluten-free. They list the side dishes and sauces that are gluten free on the menu. Even the baked beans and potato salad is gluten free. Another plus that they make their food fresh daily.
This place is really good. Just don't get their smoked wings on the fried chicken special day and ask to make sure they aren't having any fryer issues causing them to use only 1 fryer for everything
All of their meat is gluten free. They also have gluten free sauces and sides. Fantastic pulled pork!! I had potato salad and slaw on the side. Ate here three times in three days. Almost extended our vacation to eat here again! Highest rating!
