Had a great waiter that took time to make sure food was gluten free and prepared to my liking. I’m celiac and I have to eat gluten free

This was the first bad experience we've had at Outback. We were promptly seated, but had to wait 10 minutes for our waitress, while watching several waitstaff pass us by with no water on the table. The waitress we ended up with acted like someone who is on pills. Very odd behavior. The blooming onion was overcooked and greasy, but she did offer to bring another one. My ribs were delicious, but EXTREMELY fatty. My husband's quesadilla was overcooked. I don't know if this was an off day at this restaurant or if management is bad, but we won't return to this Outback.
Understood Celiac and food allergies well. Had a diverse menu!

GF menu, delicious dessert!
From 10/2013- Great menu options. Although server was not very knowledgeable, he tolerated my coaching pretty well.
Went again in Jan 2014- the server was very knowledgeable and willing to ask kitchen extra questions and went extra mile. Their gf menu didn't have children's items listed, so when I asked him if a child's burger is gf (their others are)- he was happy to check with cook.

Waiter was very understanding of celiac. They had a gluten free menu. I had steak with jacket potatoes and broccoli. Steak was really tender and tasty. Will be going again before we leave. Bit expensive and with limited choices it’s the way it is

Good food and great service. The waiter even brought me an orange to enjoy while the others in my party ate a blooming onion.

I have gone to this location multiple times and have not gotten sick. The wait staff is very familiar with gluten free protocol.

Decided to try outback since there were good chain reviews, but the service and food quality here was lacking. They did offer a GF menu, but options did still feel limited. I got the sirloin steak, baked potato, and a house salad. Steak was cooked well, but bland. Baked potato was drenched in butter, which I was not expecting. No burger options for GF.
My husband got normal, gluten filled food, and it was also sub par. We thought it was funny that his burger bun was falling apart as badly as GF buns do! I had little pitty for him lol
We got the chocolate thunder down under dessert, which was yummy, but very very rich.
All in all, it was over priced for the quality of food we got. I did not have a reaction, so good on that front.
