We stopped for dinner today since we always hear how great Outback is for GF.. Wow not a winner at this location, the staff was clueless, didn't help that the manager was MIA when I asked to speak to someone w/seniority that had a clue. I was telling the server based on the online gf menu how he needed to modify my meal... In the middle of my meal, while eating the waiter came over to ask how my food was, and what would really happen if something was prepped wrong... glad he wanted to know, but made me nervous, food wasn't that great.
We have been there twice. The first time Aussie fries were on the same plate as the "GF" burger (Aussie Fries are clearly marked as NOT GF on menu). When we commented to waitress she looked shocked and said "but the burger doesn't have a bun". She didn't have a clue. We talked to management and they apologized. This week we thought we would give them another try and the "GF" burger arrived with a bun. The waiter offered to remove the bun. Obviously they don't have a clue about being gluten free and cross contamination issues. We left without eating and will not be returning.
Waiter was very understanding of celiac. They had a gluten free menu. I had steak with jacket potatoes and broccoli. Steak was really tender and tasty. Will be going again before we leave. Bit expensive and with limited choices it’s the way it is

Good food and great service. The waiter even brought me an orange to enjoy while the others in my party ate a blooming onion.

I have gone to this location multiple times and have not gotten sick. The wait staff is very familiar with gluten free protocol.

Decided to try outback since there were good chain reviews, but the service and food quality here was lacking. They did offer a GF menu, but options did still feel limited. I got the sirloin steak, baked potato, and a house salad. Steak was cooked well, but bland. Baked potato was drenched in butter, which I was not expecting. No burger options for GF.
My husband got normal, gluten filled food, and it was also sub par. We thought it was funny that his burger bun was falling apart as badly as GF buns do! I had little pitty for him lol
We got the chocolate thunder down under dessert, which was yummy, but very very rich.
All in all, it was over priced for the quality of food we got. I did not have a reaction, so good on that front.
