I wondered why they weren’t crowded after church. I ordered the Alice springs chicken. It was so delicious but then I pulled an extremely long black hair from underneath the chicken. The girl who brought it out had long black hair. I called one of the waitstaff over and showed him. He took it back and then the manager came out and asked if I could tell what color it was. I told him and he said they couldn’t find it when it got back to the kitchen. He was very nice and accommodating and remade my food with no charge. It just didn’t taste as good the second time. They were knowledgeable about gluten.
It was horrrreible! Went in on a Monday night while driving through ft. Smith. The restaurant was pretty empty (now I know why). We were seated, then waited 10 minutes to be greeted, asked drink orders or anything to acknowledge we were there. Once we placed order it took another 30 minutes to receive our food. Once we received food (husband had hamburger with all the veggie toppings, lettuce, onion, tomato and I had the serloin with mashed potatoes and asparagus. Both ordered med rare. Burger came out very well done, and recieved 2 pickle discs, an onion the size of a quarter and about same for lettuce. My steak was fine but had the manager come tell me at 6:00 pm they had to wait “a long time “until the mashed potatoes were done, I opted for a bake potato, I could only cut/saw my way through the “baked” potato. The asparagus I didn’t eat, but hey it might be great for babies as it was mush on a plate. Trust me , do yourself a favor and go to Schlotski’s next door!
server was very helpful when I requested no garlic butter, he listed other ingredients to make sure they would be ok.
I had a wonderful experience taking my Father to outback steakhouse. My food was amazing as was the food of every other member of the family. Both my waiter Stanley and the manager made it so easy although the gf menu is a little longer than I have been accustomed to and the "thunder from down under" their signature dessert is gluten-free!!!
I go to this Outback often. They have a gluten-free menu. Wait staff are very friendly and helpful. They have the best gluten-free dessert called "Tunder from Down Under"! I don't think they have a dedicated fryer for fries but there are other sides that are good. I highly recommend. You need to ask for the gluten-free menu.
