this place was tasty, the fish seemed very fresh and was wild caught. I am pretty sensitive and I felt fine after eating a large lunch here.
Eaten there over 40 times the past two years and love it! Fresh fish. Good gluten-free options.
Good options...too expensive, gave me food poisoning
Ordered California roll and Mexican corn, both tasty and no reaction. Several other interesting items on GF menu. Staff said they prepare GF separately, but was a busy Saturday night so couldn’t get exact details.
Pacific Catch is one of my favorite chain restaurants. They primarily serve responsibly sourced seafood and a few other dishes for non-seafood eaters. I usually order their tacos or poke, but today I decided to go with their waygu burger. It was pretty good slightly on the salty side. I told my wait staff that I was GF/DF so she made sure my dish didn't contain those items and suggested alternatives. Prices are typical of the cuisine, there is a parking garage about a block away, and service is usually fair to good.
They have a Gluten Free Menu with about 10 items on it. If you remind them, they also have Gluten Free Soy Sauce. Everyone was friendly, but not very knowledgeable about what was gluten free. Stick to the GF menu they have, and you will be fine.
This place is absolutely delicious. Lots of gluten free options marked on the menu. Great service. Best chain restaurant!!!
I did not get sick. The food was good. I ordered the mahi mahi tacos. The kitchen team and manager seemed to be celiac aware and trained. The server wasn't at all trained. That made me nervous but he was very helpful and in the end it worked out. Be vigilant here though.
Came in during Happy Hour and had Shrimp Ceviche and a mahi mahi street taco... both amazing! Ceviche was so yummy, so creamy. Great atmosphere and great service. Plenty of GF options. Try the lemongrass infused tea too!!
Definitely not a dedicated establishment. It might be fine for the only gluten-sensitive; otherwise best avoid. There's soy on the menu as well, and many celiacs have a problem with that. This site should always specify if the joint has a dedicated no-gluten-at-all kitchen zone, even if that is rare as hen's teeth. :)
Had delicious Chicken Satay Thai Curry on brown rice. Just FYI, that and Mahi Mahi were the only gf options, besides sushi and poke (raw), neither of which I eat. But I'm glad I went there. I just wish they had more options for cooked fish. The plain rice bowls were not listed as gf. Can't figure that one out.
Not only do they have a limited gluten free menu, but it seemed like the chefs over season the fish to cover the below par quality. For a seafood restaurant at those prices in the Bay Area, I was extremely disappointed and won't be returning.
They have a small gf menu. I've had no problems with cross contamination, and I'm quite sensitive. Their food is good but not great compared with so many other restaurant choices in SF.
Dedicated (but limited) GF menu. Some items from regular menu also can be made GF and server was helpful and knowledgable. I was in the mood for sushi and they were easily able to modify spicy tuna roll to be GF, plus they use real crab in the California roll, so that was safe, too. Very tasty!
Service 4 Star, and Manager came to the table when I had questions about their GF menu. Kitchen is GIG trained! Never get sick from eating at any of their storms. The salmon bowl is amazing with affogato for dessert! Bravo!
