Our food was ordered gluten free and even marked as gluten free, but my son and I are both very sick. It was also not very tasty.

— Poor

We found out too late only one of the two meals we ordered was actually gluten-free. If you don't know what the gf version of their food looks like on sight, don't risk eating here. :(

Celiac friendly?

No

I was a little disappointed in the variety of GF choices. I choose the spicy shrimp & chicken. It was pretty spicy but the dish in general had really good flavor.

Celiacs beware! Although the gluten free options are delicious, I asked how they prepare their gluten free items and was told they do not have separate cookware for gluten free meals. They wash the pot and change gloves. If you're celiac that may not be the best option as there is cross contamination but if you're just gluten sensitive it might be ok. Unfortunately I'll have to scratch this one of my list :(

Finding a decent GF place poses a challenge, especially while traveling away from familiar home locations. My wife and I both just ate there and let's just say the food was...... Delish! The wait staff was familiar with our dietary needs as well as the GF options the restaurant offers. There is nothing worse than getting the "deer in the headlight" look when you mention that you don't eat gluten. If we all take the time to post feedback on this site all of us GF's will have an easier time finding good safe places to eat. Wherever our travels take us.

LOVED IT!!! NO GLUTEN REACTION!! My husband and I are both extremely sensitive to cross-contamination, like a couple of crumbs from an accidental crouton causing a severe reaction kind of sensitive. Last night, we experienced Pei Wei in Lubbock, TX for the first time, and it was amazing. The food was very, very fresh, there were several g-free selections, and the staff was very knowledgeable about Celiac. I highly recommend this location to anyone who is gluten intolerant or Celiac.

Celiac friendly?

Yes

Rice was brittle and dry, asked for new batch, replacement was same. Plate not designated as GF, but waiter mentioned that it was as he set it down. Did not feel bad after eating, so cross contamination was non-existent or low.

Eating here is fine, but not preferred if only because of the low quality of the food at this location.

They have some great options for gluten free. I ordered bourbon chicken and white rice, and it was very tasty!

I have eaten at this Pei Wei location at least 6 times and have had no reactions to their gluten free meals. I am highly sensitive to cross-contact. The menu is clearly marked and the manager was able to answer all of my questions.

I ordered the Gluten Free Bourbon chicken with rice and it was delicious and a good portion! I had no negative reaction!
