$5 up charge for UDI crust!?!
Would gladly pay up charge for handmade gf crust, but sadly it’s an up charge for Udi’s crust. Disappointed in my $25 pizza that is no different than that I make at home. My husband got the roast chicken and it was fabulous though.
Had a delicious pasta with ragu sauce here. Explained to waitress that I have celiac and wanted, if possible, either some pasta or pizza. She consulted the kitchen and the chef said he felt pasta would be the safer option, due to all the regular flour pizzas in the pizza oven and concerns about flour particles floating around in there. Appreciated his input, went with the pasta and a glass of their house Chardonnay and didn’t regret it!
They have a well labeled menu but not a separate GF document. I tried their gluten free pasta which tasted great but there was some serious cross contamination as I had a fast and severe reaction after the meal. I almost doubt they actually gave me gluten free pasta due to the severity of the reaction.
They were very knowledgeable. I’m GF and my mom is GF and DF and they were willing to work with us and gave us a great meal. The pasta and pizza options can be made gluten free, and the GF menu items are clearly marked.
Pasta wasn’t the best I’ve ever had but respectable. Definitely recommend for people with dietary restrictions, just don’t expect crazily good food.
Risotto was great. You can order pasta dishes prepared with gluten free penne but sauce choices are limited. Salads are clearly marked! Get the beet and fennel salad...it is really good. Gelato is not GF here but they do have a flourless chocolate cake that’s makes up for it. New menu offers only one meat entree Dish per day so there is limited GF options depending on what is available on that day so don’t come expecting lots of choice...but be satisfied with salad and risotto
I love, love LOVE piattis!! it’s my first time here in a long time and it’s my first restaurant since being diagnosed with IBS. although the kitchen has cross contamination hazards, I’m not fully allergic and I was able to order many gluten free things on the menu! the GF pizza was sooo yum and so was the flourless torte! They also offer soups, salads, and zucchini pasta! Our server also told us about his digestion issues and told me that the GF options are so good here! Must come back !!
Called ahead and verified that they could accommodate gluten intolerance. I was concerned that a place that makes their own pasta and pizza would be full of flour and difficult to avoid cross contamination, but the woman on the phone was SO enthusiastic that they could definitely keep me safe that I joined the friends who had invited me.
The server was not knowledgeable about what was gluten free, but checked with the kitchen. Her English was not great, and she scribbled the orders on a menu, which was not encouraging. I got the polenta and spare rib, which is all prepared gluten free without modification, so figured I was as safe as possible.
I vomited for 2 hours in the middle of the night, which is very unusual for me unless the exposure is extreme. Just skip it.
