This place was great. I had the catch of the day plate. They knew what Celiac’s was and said they would take precaution.

This place was our favorite meal in Maui. A mix of Greek and Italian items, lots of GF options (about 1/3 of the menu could be made GF on request), cute patio, and very allergy-aware & friendly. We had people in our party with gluten, peanut, and capsaicin allergies & a vegetarian—all had safe and delicious meals. The drinks (alcoholic and non-alcoholic) were creative and delicious!

We came based on the reviews. The menu listed several gluten free pastas, so my celiac son order plain GF pasta with butter. We explained that he would need to have a fresh pot with fresh water and that my meal (lamb & fish kabobs w rice and vegetables) would also need to be prepared on a clean surface. The server was very kind and wrote celiac on the ticket. They brought our dinner. I tested my son’s pasta with the Nima sensor which detected gluten. The kitchen manager came out after speaking with the kitchen and confirmed that his pasta had been made in the regular pasta water and that my meal was not made separately. They remade the meals. I retested the pasta which detected no gluten the second time. The food was very good, but I wouldn’t eat here without using the sensor to verify that the dishes didn’t contain gluten. The staff was very kind, concerned, & apologetic.

Fantastic food! Several really great options for gluten free meals. We got hummus appetizer (subbed cucumber for pita) and then I got chicken and lamb kabobs with double rice instead of the pita. It was soooo flavorful and yummy! Seemed very familiar with what is gluten free and what is not (not too sure about CC but I had no problem eating there)

This place did an excellent job accommodating my husband who has celiac. They pointed out all menu items available to him, which included proteins and more than just salads. He had the combination steak and chicken kabobs and double rice. Delicious!

Unfortunately they were out of gluten free pasta, but I was able to the get fish special and it was delicious!! The owner catches the fish himself daily. The waitress was super knowledgeable on the gluten free items and was very careful when handling anything for me. And bonus - they have a flourless chocolate torte for dessert!!

Wow, ate here twice. Items on menu marked. No gluten free bread but really really tasty salads and fish and kabobs.

Lovely dinner- we ate the lamb salad, the lamb kebab and the fish/shrimp special - all gluten free, all delicious. Generous portions, lovely presentation, friendly and helpful staff. Even my picky companions enjoyed their meals. Thank you! (The lillikoi mojito was delicious too).

Many items on the menu are gluten free or can be made GF.. I am Celiac with a dairy allergy..which is challenging.. Not for the staff of Pita Paradise.. They assured me that my meal would be carefully prepared and I didn’t need to worry about cross contamination.. I had the lamb kebabs with a basil vinaigrette.. Awesome meal.. My husband who can have anything really enjoyed his pasta ! We will definitely go back again. This restaurant is a real gem..

Most items can be gluten free ! Food was tasty.
Fabulous! I loved eating here and will definitely come back. Great atmosphere with live music, definitely would make a reservation for dinner because it’s pretty busy. I had their bolognese sauce and it was fabulous, lots of flavor!

Don't come here expecting to get pitas in paradise if you are gluten free. The menu lists items that can be made gluten free. But, apparently the pita and Hummus can be made gluten free by omitting the pita and just getting Hummus. If you want something to dip in your Hummus, you need to pay extra for cucumbers. We left so I can't comment on the actual food quality.
Great fish special! Loved having veggies on the plate. Friendly service.

Soooo good. The staff is very knowledgeable. I had the fresh fish kabobs, and honestly they were so crispy that I was nervous, so I tested them with my nima and they tested negative. no issues after eating my wonderful meal, will come back.

I agree with others that this was my favorite meal on Maui. We sat outside and the service was spectacular. Being celiac and vegetarian I had the veggie delight without the pita or falafel. Cucumbers were substituted for bread and they offered additional veggies and salad to make up for the missing falafel. I wish I could take this restaurant home with me!

Probably one of our best meals while here. Beautiful restaurant and great service. The GF kabob platter was delicious.
Awesome food and can do gluten free for people with allergies. Great patio. Good place for families or romance.

The food here is very good. They understand gluten allergy and were very safe with our food. My son has a nut and dairy allergy and they were very careful. The quality of the food is excellent and the fish is very fresh and delicious! The service was excellent. This is a fantastic choice for anyone!

Pita Paradise is an AMAZING restaurant, whether you are gf or not. We couldn't wait to return to Pita Paradise (we'd eaten there 3 years ago). It's Hawaiian-meets-Greek food fusion, at least that's how I would describe it. Very knowledgeable staff, willing to help me navigate the already quite clear menu with GF signs on it. A bartender who personally delivered (and ensured me that her sisters who are Celiac have this drink and that it was safe ingredients) the BEST drink I have ever had in my life - HIBISCUS & GINGER MARGARITA for $11 "El Zarco Tequila, Cointreau, house made Hibiscus reduction, fresh lime, cane sugar reduction & Ginger" - oh my!!!Both times we ate there this trip, I ordered the fish kabobs, which came with grilled veggies and rice pilaf. So delicious, fresh, etc. The owner actually is a fisherman, too, and so whatever he catches that morning is on the menu for dinner. I would highly recommend this place. Delicious!!!! Surprised it isn't already on this website!
