Called to ask all the right questions (can items on the gf menu be prepared safely for a celiac). Was told there is a separate prep space and separate oven. Arrived and was told by a different server who also works in the kitchen that there is not a separate prep space and no separate oven. She said the kitchen staff would be careful but that cross contact could happen. We left without ordering. Really frustrating to be told a completely different story on the phone.
The service was amazing but I ordered a gluten free pizza and a few hours later I’m getting sick. I could tell that the pizza has been contaminated with Gluten in the kitchen. Hoping kitchen’s understand for some people this isn’t a choice and they need to work better to accommodate people with these allergies or don’t do it at all.
Ordered several pies and tried both GF crust option and the cauliflower crust. Prefer cauliflower since it’s doughier. Crust, if overdone, can be chewy or really hard. Don’t recommend getting it “well done.” Flavors on pizzas were yummy and didn’t get sick! And lobster pizza in Maine?? Yes please!
Can I just say, out loud, GLUTEN FREE CALZONE? Ok crust, awesome middles. Gf crust comes on its own pan and staff change gloves; cooked in a communal oven but I have not had a moment's issue, ever. Staff are fabulous and do not take offense to detailed questions. Extensive bar; one gf beer offered. Also has gf deserts, but you'll never have room!
Fantastic options! First time I’ve ever been able to get a calzone! I got the cheese calzone and added pepperoni and sausage (they got fresh toppings from a new container and it was cooked on a special pan). Staff was really helpful and it was a great quick lunch spot!
