Great upscale restaurant! Beautiful atmosphere and they are super knowledgeable about gluten. If you let your waiter know that you can't have gluten they can advise accordingly regarding what is on the menu or suggest changes they can make so you can eat it.They also usually have a gluten free dessert choice. Have never gotten sick after eating here.
This was the best meal I’ve had in years!! The gf flatbread is one of the best things I’ve had since my celiac diagnosis. The server was so knowledgeable and almost the entire menu could be made gluten free. This place isn’t just amazing because it’s so safe, but it was also one of the best meals I’ve had in a very long time. We live an hour away, but will gladly make the trip to go again.
The food and cocktails were excellent. I had the heirloom tomato caprese appetizer and a scallops main. I sat at the bar and overheard the bartender ensuring with the kitchen that it was my allergy /celiac meal and that it was prepared correctly before they served it. I felt safe eating here and will come back if I’m ever in Greensboro again!
Great restaurant! GF not marked on menu but the waiters are knowledgeable about anything on menu with gluten free options or can be made/substituted for gluten free. They honored my opentable profile about GF and brought out GF crackers for my charcuterie appetizer. The calamari appetizer is made with almond flour. The waiters always asked if it’s a cross contamination issue as they have a dedicated fryer for fried items. For the entrees, I just need to ask about the sauce, seasoning and sides.
What a amazing beautiful place and experience to have found this place lots of gluten free safe options they had calamari gf it was delicious I hadn't had that in years great atmosphere and outstanding service it's a must if coming to or through North Carolina dessert options too they really go beyond to accommodate definitely coming back.
The staff that I spoke with were knowledgeable about GF options on the menu. They served us their GF flatbread, which was good. We ordered the salmon quinoa salad and it was very tasty. In addition when we learned they have a dedicated fryer, so we of course had to order a side of fries!
Update for recent visits: We were in Greensboro again and went to Print Works twice. They still have the same procedures in place to avoid cross contamination. Servers know what can be made gluten free. Food was delicious and safe once again
They take celiac and allergies very seriously and have good procedures in place to avoid cross contamination. Menu is not labeled, but they can make pretty much anything gluten free. We ate here twice while in town for a few days. Food was safe and delicious. Highly recommend.
I wasnt that impressed. They had very slow service and the food was okay. I had the cheeseburger and fried on a gluten free bun. It was cooked perfectly but kind lacked in flavor
The fries were oily and limp.
Menu isn't marked but the waitress was knowledgeable on gluten free. She was very nice and friendly.
The atmosphere is nice, however the slow service and mediocre food doesn't warrant the prices and hype.
Print Works (and the other restaurants under their umbrella:Green Valley Grill and Lucky 32) are so wonderful about accommodating food allergies. They don’t mark GF on their menus, but I’ve been to each place multiple times and the wait staff is always knowledgeable and the chef is has always been willing to tweak things to remove dairy or gluten for me. When they bring the food out, they always restate my order and confirm it’s gluten free which is such a nice touch to keep me from worrying about any mix ups.
I had a great meal here with no reaction! They don’t have a dedicated gluten free menu or gluten free items called out on their menu, however the staff is very knowledgeable about what dishes are gluten free and what can be modified. I had called ahead and spoke with someone who walked through the menu with me and put me on hold to ask the kitchen questions. I felt like they really take cross contamination issues for celiac seriously. They have a separate fryer that doesn’t have gluten contamination. Really great experience and great food and wine!
I was delighted to end up here after unexpectedly having a flight cancelled and needing an unplanned safe meal. They take allergies seriously and have a dedicated gluten free fryer. Waitstaff was well trained and reassuring. Food was good. Atmosphere upscale. It’s part of a nice looking hotel.
The staff was amazing, atmosphere was low key - breakfast felt like a fine dining experience minus the need to dress up at 8 am. Menu doesn’t have separate call outs for GF; however, if you let them know up front the staff member assigned to your table will work with you. They do have GF bread and they were willing to make our food to order to accommodate other food allergies.
Excellent food and service. The staff are very knowledgeable about gluten-free items (most of the menu is gf) and clearly communicated my needs to the kitchen. They also made sure that the food I received was announced as gluten free, which I always appreciate.
There is no gluten-free menu; however, waiter and chef took measures to ensure my meal was gluten free. Additionally, chef understood difference between celiac and allergy. I have food allergies, not celiac. Gluten-free French toast... Need I say more?! Next time I'm in Greensboro, definitely coming back!!
Went for lunch and I’m DF/GF and hubby is DF ( we r not celiac so cross contamination is not a huge concern) They had many items on the menu that fit the bill but I had to ask Food was delicious and service was great! When our food was brought out the server who was different then one that took our order said it’s gluten and dairy free. So kitchen was aware of our needs.
We came for brunch and I was pleasantly surprised to hear they could offer GF bread as a substitute for several dishes including French toast and eggs Benedict! I asked about the Hollandaise sauce and the waiter was confident that it would be made gluten-free. I had the smoked salmon Benedict and it was delicious! I could see that the sauce was clear and did not appear to be thickened with anything. As a gluten-intolerant non-celiac, I had no reaction.
The waiter was Very knowledgeable about what was gluten free and that they could customize most of the menu items to accommodate gluten and dairy allergies. He even made sure my fried onions were fried without gluten in a gluten free fryer.
I was disappointed when I had gone here and gotten extremely sick after. I ordered the avocado toast and the server told me she would let the back know but shortly after leaving I immediately knew something I ate there had gluten in it. Thinking maybe they used the same toaster as normal bread.
Love the truffle fries!!! They do a really great job with gluten free and they use techniques to prevent Cross contamination. Although the menu doesn't have gluten free items listed the staff is very educated and prepared to let you know anything you need to know. I recommend this as an option to those with and without celiac alike! I love it here!
I eat here all time. Their food is delicious and they're very attentive to allergens. My daughter who has life threatening allergies to dairy, peanuts, tree nuts, and shellfish also can eat here. The only other place she can eat is The Well Cafe. It's nice to have more than one place to eat in Greensboro!
I'm so happy with the food and service but I got it this place! Very knowledgeable about gluten free food options and safe preparation. They did not have a separate menu but most things could be made gluten free. I went there for breakfast and had smoked salmon eggs benedict and french toast. Both were amazing. That night I went back for dessert! A chocolate cake, it was rich and delicious and paired with the perfect wine. Will be back when I'm back in town.
Updated info. I go here all the time since my Celiac diagnosis. Never had a problem. I refer everyone here. And get the breadsticks with your own butter and garlic! Totally worth it.
Awesome food! No gluten free menu because they will alter most anything on the menu to be gluten free.
I went with my boyfriend, who is EXTREMELY sensitive to gluten cross contamination. He said this was one of the best places he has ever been to for gluten free dining. He was able to pick from virtually any option on the menu, the waiters and kitchen were eager to turn each gluten free and clarified how it would be made differently (corn instead of bread crumbs, etc).
It's definitely not cheap, but the lunch menu is way more affordable than dinner, and honestly for his "best meal of the whole year" even the dinner price was worth it.
Jeffrey was very knowledgeable of gluten free items. I am sensitive to many things and he was cautious with my food. They have an olive oil canola mix and I can't have canola so he switched the oil to all olive oil ! Service excellent. Attire a bit dressy ... we wore jeans and sweatshirts and felt extremely dressed down but made us feel comfortable.
Our food was good and I felt confident that my food was gf. I even had mousse for dessert!
First of all... Let me say, they do NOT have a gluten free menu. Now, with that being said.... I have never seen a more knowledgeable staff about Gluten. I have been there several times since the first time I have been there, but this review is based on the first time I went.
I informed my waitress that I was Gluten Free, and she said "that is no problem... We can alter just about anything on the menu to be gluten free... We even have Gluten Free buns just in case you are looking for a burger, or any of our other sandwiches." I ended up ordering the duck. It was incredibly delicious. Drool worthy. lol When I ordered it, she walked over to a computer, where I believe she put in the dish name, and it informed her that the rice pilaf that came with it, did indeed have barley in it. So she told me that there are many other things that I could get and told me the best thing that would pair up with it, but left the choice up to me. I took her suggestion and ordered the Mashed Potato's *which were just perfect" and I got my meal with no issues. We also came back the next morning after that to try their breakfast... Phenomenal! I ordered the smoked salmon eggs Benedict and my fiance ordered the french toast. Everything was just superb! I also ordered a cappuccino, and it was also very delicious! Very friendly staff, and beautiful establishment! This is my new favorite restaurant!
One more thing... The description does not say it, but they DO have designated fryers! :)
They don't have a spcial menu but staff is well trained so whatever they choose they will make it GF for you. They even had GF breadsticks for me. Dinner was pricey but service and choice was top notch.
