I went to order a sandwich and was told they no longer carry gluten free bread. They only have the crappy Udi’s bagels and that with cream cheese cost almost $5. Not worth it at all. Very disappointed that they would stop offering the bread.
I love this place! The girl at the register went over my order, and the other girl making my sandwich even checked with me on how to make my sandwich. They have a huge menu inside that includes GF foods and they have smaller menus that tell you what's safe to eat. They have lots of different choices at a great price I will be back!
There is no GF toaster or grill so be prepared for a cold Udi's bagel. I mean, a toaster is what, $25? Just get one already!
I got an Udi's bagel lox platter and it was pretty good! They made sure to get cream cheese from the back for me.
Older man, owner? Was very nice
Good news is they have a bunch of different coffees to choose from and it's self serve so you can mix up vanilla and cinnamon coffees for example. So that's good.
Stopped in and asked what precautions they staff took to address cross contamination. The order taker ha no clue what I was talking about; manager stepped in and stated:
We make our gluten free items on the same board we make out other sandwiches on. I then asked about knives, changing gloves, etc.... She stated they did not take special precautions, only offer gluten free breads, and bagels.
Beware!
I hate going out to breakfast with friends or just wanting a sandwich because most restaurants rarely have good gluten free bread. Pure bread has gluten free bread and bagels that are fluffy and perfect for their already great sandwiches. They are always friendly, very clean (they even have hand sanitizer for customers up by the register), and the dog breed theme makes the room very cozy. I haven't been able to find the exact bread and bagels they use in the store, but I will continue to come here whether I find the bread to use at home or not. Every GF person should know about Pure Bread!
This place is great. The staff are very nice and were more than willing to take any cleaning precaution they could, and allowed me to bring some aluminum foil that they dont usually have so that my sandwich could be grilled safely. I've eaten here over a dozen times now and haven't gotten sick.
Went in and said I have celiac per the previous review. Asked if worker could use a clean knife and said he could not confirm that it would be safe. He then told me not to eat there as everything is prepared together. Left hungry and disappointed that they have a wide gluten free menu, zero practices to prevent cross contamination, and don’t seem interested in serving celiac patrons.
I have been to a few locations and this is the only one that consistently screws up gluten free. Today I got a salad, asked for change of gloves, made sure they knew it was a gluten"allergy" and they switched the house vinaigrette for the curry vinaigrette which has gluten. I could taste the curry and sure enough within a bit of time I was sick. This is not the only time they've made blatant mistakes that meant I'd get sick. I asked for a panini cold, not toasted, explaining the panini press wasn't safe for me because of the gluten being done on it, and I had grill marks on my sandwich. I've watched them pick up bread after changing gloves then go make my sandwich. These are just the things I've caught. Don't go to this location if you have Celiac. It's a complete toss up if you'll end up sick. The food is tasty, just go to another location where they're a bit more cognizant of cross contamination and ingredients.
